  • Inhalation of fine dust during sanding, potentially causing respiratory discomfort.
  • Exposure to vapours in solvent-containing products, which may cause dizziness or irritation.
  • Fire risk with solvent-based fillers and cleaners in the presence of flames, sparks or high temperatures.
  • Possible allergic reactions in people sensitive to resins or hardeners.

Safe use

  • Read and follow the instructions on the container before opening or mixing the product.
  • Work in well-ventilated areas; if the product contains solvents, increase ventilation and avoid any source of ignition.
  • Use disposable or chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles and a dust mask when sanding.
  • Prepare the surface by removing dust, grease, moisture and loose material to promote adhesion.
  • Apply thin, successive coats; observe drying/curing times before sanding or painting.
  • For two-component fillers, mix only the amount needed and do not return leftover mix to the original container.
  • Sand with dust extraction or collection where possible and avoid blowing dust into the air.
  • Keep containers closed when not in use and do not decant the product into unlabelled containers.
  • Immediately clean up spills and soaked rags and dispose of them safely to prevent accumulations.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store containers tightly closed, upright, in a cool, dry place, away from heat, sparks and direct sunlight.
  • Protect water-based fillers from frost and avoid extreme temperatures that could affect the product.
  • Keep products out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not mix leftovers of different products or return used or contaminated material to the container.
  • Check the condition of the product and the date recommended by the manufacturer before using it again.
  • Clean tools using the method recommended by the manufacturer and manage waste and sanding dust in sealed bags to prevent dispersion.
  • Dispose of residues and empty containers at an appropriate collection point in accordance with local guidance.

Restrictions on use

  • For adult use; keep children and pets away from the work area.
  • Do not use for structural repairs or load-bearing applications.
  • Do not use to seal gas leaks or pressurised water leaks.
  • Do not apply on surfaces with constant moisture or continuous immersion unless the product explicitly states otherwise.
  • Do not use near flames, hot surfaces or operating appliances, especially with solvent-based products.
  • Do not apply inside electrical boxes or on cables; if working near sockets or switches, turn off the power.
  • Do not use on surfaces in direct contact with food, aquariums, toys or cots unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
  • People with asthma, allergies or sensitivity to dust or vapours should limit exposure, use appropriate respiratory protection and avoid sanding where possible.
