Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Tipping due to poor levelling, legs not fully opened, or locks not engaged.
- Finger entrapment when folding, extending or adjusting the tilt or height.
- Canvas or board falling due to insufficient clamping, accidental knocks or draughts.
- Slipping on polished floors or floor damage if the feet lack adequate protection.
- Knocks or scratches from protruding edges, screws or parts.
- Overloading by mounting canvases or boards that are too large or heavy for the model.
- Instability when used outdoors in wind or on uneven ground.
Safe use
- Place the easel on a flat, firm, dry surface, ensuring all feet make proper contact.
- Fully open and lock hinges and latches before placing the canvas; verify stability with a gentle check.
- Position the canvas centred and securely held; avoid excessive overhang at the sides or the top.
- Adjust height and tilt with both hands, keeping fingers away from hinges and locking points; do not force knobs or screws.
- Keep the work area clear and avoid corridors, doors or walkways where it could be knocked.
- Outdoors, use only on level ground and sheltered from the wind; if the model allows, secure it according to the product instructions.
- For moving or transport, remove the canvas, fold and lock the moving parts; hold it by structural points.
- Do not stand on, sit on or hang bags or other objects on the easel.
Storage and maintenance
- Store folded with the locks engaged in a dry, ventilated place, away from extreme humidity or heat.
- Clean paint residue with a soft cloth; avoid abrasive products and strong solvents that could damage the wood or finish.
- Dry immediately if it gets wet to prevent warping or corrosion of metal parts.
- Periodically check screws, bolts and locks; retighten when necessary without overtightening.
- Replace non-slip rubber feet or damaged parts to maintain stability and protect the floor.
- Avoid stacking heavy objects on top that could bend legs or deform guides.
- Protect edges and ends during transport to prevent impacts and damage.
Restrictions of use
- Designed to hold canvases, panels or sheets; do not use as a seat, step or climbing aid.
- Use by minors only under adult supervision; keep mechanisms and small parts out of reach of young children.
- Do not use if it shows cracks, loose screws, bent parts or missing components.
- Do not exceed the size and weight limits recommended by the manufacturer for the specific model.
- Do not use on slippery, sloped or unstable surfaces, or in areas with strong winds.
- Do not place next to open flames, stoves or other intense sources of heat.
- Do not modify or drill parts of the easel, as this may compromise its stability.
