Safety warnings and precautions

Key risks

  • Snagging or entanglement of long hems, ruffles, bows or cords on escalators, doors, bicycles or furniture.
  • Trips or falls due to excessive lengths or ill-fitting garments.
  • Burns from contact with flames, embers, heaters, candles or cigarettes; many fabrics can ignite quickly.
  • Skin irritation or allergies from prolonged contact with dyes, finishes or metals in embellishments.
  • Detachment of buttons, sequins or other small accessories, posing an ingestion risk to children and pets.
  • Colour transfer to other garments or to the skin, especially with intense colours and when damp or with friction.
  • Risk of suffocation with packaging bags if left within reach of children.

Safe use

  • Check the fit and length before first use; if the hem drags on the floor, take it up or adjust it to walk safely.
  • Avoid proximity to flames and intense heat sources (cookers, barbecues, candles, heaters).
  • Secure or remove belts, bows and hanging accessories in environments where they may snag.
  • Check and reinforce buttons and embellishments if necessary before wearing, especially on children’s garments.
  • If you notice itching or redness, stop wearing the garment and wash it; consider wearing a base layer if you have sensitive skin.
  • Follow the care label: wash with similar colours and, for intense colours, preferably separately the first few times.
  • For delicate garments, use a laundry bag, close zips and turn the garment inside out to protect embellishments; avoid bleach unless specifically indicated.
  • Iron according to the garment’s care instructions, avoiding direct contact of the iron with prints or embellishments.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store dresses clean and completely dry to prevent mould and bad odours.
  • Keep them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent discolouration and fibre damage.
  • Use suitable hangers to avoid distorting the shoulders; for heavy or stretchy fabrics, folding is preferable.
  • Air the garment after use if you have sweated in it or it has been exposed to smoke or moisture.
  • Regularly check seams, zips and embellishments and repair loose threads or buttons as soon as possible.
  • Keep plastic packaging out of reach of children and pets.

Usage restrictions

  • This is not protective clothing: do not use for tasks with thermal, chemical or mechanical risks.
  • Avoid wearing long dresses or those with trains when driving, cycling or on scooters, or near machinery and moving parts.
  • Not recommended for sports or high-exertion activities where the garment may restrict movement or snag.
  • For children, avoid styles with cords at the neck or small detachable adornments; supervision is recommended when they wear bows or sequins.
  • Do not wear the garment if it is damaged (tears, zips that scratch, loose embellishments) that could cause snags or scratches.
