Usage Warnings
Grooming Tables
Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Tipping or shifting of the table if it is not properly levelled, the legs do not sit firmly, or the castors are not locked.
- Slips or falls of the dog due to wet or low-grip surfaces, or attempts to jump.
- Trapping of fingers or fur in hinges, latches, folding mechanisms, the grooming arm and lifting systems.
- Strangulation or injury due to improper use of the lead or restraint loop and by leaving the animal tethered unsupervised.
- Breakages and instability from exceeding the recommended maximum load or from an unbalanced distribution of weight.
- Bites, scratches or clawing resulting from stress or sudden movements of the animal during grooming.
- Electrical risk if the model includes electrical components and they are used near water or with damaged cables.
- Muscle injuries when lifting heavy dogs or moving a large table without assistance.
Safe use
- Place the table on a flat, stable surface; check that the legs sit firmly and, if there are castors, lock them.
- Before placing the dog on the table, check the stability, the firmness of the grooming arm and the condition of the non-slip surface; dry the table if it is damp.
- Lift and lower the dog calmly and in a controlled manner; use a ramp or additional assistance if the animal is heavy.
- Use a restraint loop appropriate to the dog's size, adjusted without constricting; never leave the animal tethered without supervision.
- Keep hands and fur away from hinges and moving parts; operate any adjustments or lifting slowly and gradually.
- Do not exceed the maximum load specified by the manufacturer, and distribute the dog's weight over the centre of the tabletop.
- Keep the work area clear; keep cables, tools and objects that could snag or frighten the dog away.
- If the model has electrical components, avoid splashes, keep the cables in good condition and unplug it when not in use.
- Supervise the dog at all times to prevent jumping, sudden turns or attempts to get down.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean the surface after each use to remove hair and dirt; use pet-safe cleaning products and dry thoroughly.
- Frequently check screws, knobs, hinges, legs and non-slip feet; retighten or replace loose or worn parts.
- Check the condition of the restraint loop or lead and replace it if it shows wear, cuts or faulty fastenings.
- Lubricate moving parts sparingly only when necessary and in line with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Store the table folded with the latches locked in a dry, ventilated place, away from the elements and sources of heat or excess moisture.
- If it includes electrical components, unplug before cleaning and periodically check the cable and plug.
- Avoid abrasive products or high-pressure jets that could damage coatings, adhesives or moving parts.
- For transport, hold it by the points provided by the manufacturer and avoid dragging it to prevent damage to the legs and floors.
Usage restrictions
- For use exclusively as a support surface for pet grooming; do not use as a bench, ladder, seat or play platform.
- Not suitable for children; do not allow them to climb on it, play on it or manipulate the mechanisms.
- Do not use with animals that exceed the recommended weight or that cannot be safely restrained with the available accessories.
- Do not use the table if it is unstable, deformed, has loose or rusty parts, or if the non-slip surface is damaged.
- Do not place the table on uneven surfaces or near edges, stairs or high-traffic areas.
- Do not modify the structure or improvise replacements or adaptations on the grooming arm or on the folding/lifting mechanisms.
- Do not lift or move the table by holding it by the grooming arm or by moving parts.
- Do not use outdoors in the rain or in high humidity, especially with models that have electrical components, and do not leave the dog unattended on the table.
