- Paws or claws getting trapped in gaps, joints or folding mechanisms.
- Bumps or sudden jumps if the height of the steps does not match that of the sofa, bed or another surface.
- Damage due to overloading by exceeding the recommended weight or by several animals climbing at once.
- Movement of the steps on smooth floors if there is insufficient grip.
- People tripping in walkways where the steps obstruct the passage.
- Risk of ingestion due to chewing and detachment of small parts or foam.
Safe use
- Assemble and check stability following the product instructions; ensure there are no loose parts or sharp edges.
- Place the steps on a flat, dry and stable surface, with the base fully supported.
- Align the top step with the destination surface to avoid any jump between levels.
- Before first use, press each step with your hand and check that it neither moves nor tips.
- If the model has non-slip feet or strips, check they are in good condition; on very smooth floors, consider using a non-slip mat underneath.
- Introduce your dog gradually and calmly, using positive reinforcement; accompany them at first to prevent them jumping off the sides.
- Keep the steps clean and dry; remove hair, dust or liquids as soon as they appear.
- Do not allow use with the lead attached to avoid snagging on steps or sides.
- Always observe the maximum weight indicated by the manufacturer; use with one pet at a time.
- If the product is foldable, lock the mechanism before the dog uses it.
Storage and maintenance
- Periodically check screws, joints, seams and covers; replace or stop using the steps if you detect looseness, breakage or deformation.
- Check and replace worn non-slip feet or bases to maintain grip.
- Clean according to the product material and allow to dry completely before use to prevent slipping.
- Store in a dry, ventilated place, out of direct sunlight; avoid prolonged moisture that could deteriorate the material.
- Do not place weight on top during storage, especially on foam models, to prevent deformation.
- If foldable, secure it closed so it does not open accidentally; keep loose parts and spares out of the reach of pets and children.

- Do not move or adjust the product while the dog is on it.
- Do not allow children to play in, on or with the steps.
- Remove the product if you observe excessive chewing, exposed foam or detached parts.
- Do not drag the steps with the animal on them; reposition only when empty.
