Main risks

• Accidental ingestion of the absorbent material or plastic film, with a risk of choking or intestinal blockage.
• Suffocation from contact with plastic sheets or packaging bags, especially in puppies and children.
• Slips involving people or pets if the pad moves or the surrounding surface is left wet.
• Skin irritation or discomfort to your pet from prolonged contact with moisture or fragrances.
• Bacterial growth and unpleasant odours if changing the soiled pad is delayed.

Safe use

• Choose a size suited to your pet's weight and habits to prevent overflow.
• Place the pad on a flat, dry surface; if the design allows, secure the corners or use a non-slip base or frame.
• Change the pad frequently and whenever it is visibly soiled or saturated.
• Do not reuse disposable pads; if it is a reusable model, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
• Keep your pet supervised if it tends to chew or tear the pad; remove it if it is damaged.
• Avoid placing it next to food and water bowls or resting areas to prevent cross-contamination.
• Wash your hands after handling used pads and place waste in a sealed bag; do not flush down the toilet.

Storage and maintenance

• Store pads in a cool, dry and clean place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
• Keep the pack closed until use to prevent dust, dirt and odour absorption.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets to prevent playing with or chewing the product.
• Do not place heavy or sharp objects on the pack to prevent punctures or deformation.
• Check the product's condition regularly and discard any units that are damaged, damp before use, or have an unusual odour.
• If the pad is washable, clean and dry it completely according to the manufacturer's instructions to prevent mould and bad odours.
• Regularly clean the surface beneath the pad to prevent moisture build-up.

Restrictions on use

• Not a toy or a bed; do not use it as a blanket, scratching pad or chew toy.
• Do not use in cots, playpens or as a human hygiene product.
• Do not place on elevated or unstable surfaces where slipping could cause falls.
• Do not leave puppies or pets with a strong tendency to chew the pad unattended.
• Do not use if your pet shows skin irritation associated with the product; discontinue use and consult a vet if necessary.
