Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Impacts from unexpected rebounds that may strike the face, eyes or fingers.
- Injuries to hands, wrists, shoulders or ankles due to poor technique or excessive striking intensity.
- Pinches and entrapments in hinges, pins, springs, tensioned bands or adjustment points.
- Tipping or movement of self-supporting structures and detachment of wall or ceiling anchors.
- Slips and falls due to slippery surfaces, loose cables or leaves, or spills from weighted bases.
- Accidental strikes to other people, pets, furniture, vehicles or nearby glass.
- Skin abrasions and irritation from repeated friction with surfaces or straps.
- Risk from sudden release of tension when adjusting, folding or changing the angle of the equipment.
Safe use
- Choose a spacious, level, clear area; maintain a safety clearance around the equipment.
- Face the rebounder or target away from people, traffic and fragile surfaces.
- Before each use, check frames, nets, seams, straps, fasteners, screws, pins, bands and anchor points; do not use the equipment if you detect damage or looseness.
- Secure anchors or bases firmly with the recommended ballast; verify that locking mechanisms are fully engaged.
- Start with progressive intensity and distance until you understand the rebound response and the stability of the setup.
- Use appropriate protection (gloves, wraps, shin guards as per the discipline) and footwear with good grip.
- Keep hands and face out of the rebound path and avoid positioning yourself behind the target on return systems.
- Do not strike while wearing rings, watches or other hard objects that could cause cuts or damage the equipment.
- To adjust height or angle, stop the activity, release the tension and keep fingers away from the mechanisms.
- Keep the area free of obstacles, cables and pets; alert those around you before starting practice.
- For hanging bags, check carabiners and straps; for base-mounted models, check the fill level and stability before striking.
- Warm up properly before intense strikes to reduce the risk of strain.
Storage and maintenance
- Wipe away sweat, dust and debris after each use; dry thoroughly to prevent damp, mould and corrosion.
- Store in a dry, ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Outdoors, fold or cover the equipment and secure it against the wind; avoid leaving it under unnecessary tension.
- Periodically check nets, bands, springs, hook-and-loop (Velcro) and foam padding; replace parts that are cracked, loose or deformed.
- On bases filled with water or sand, check for leaks and level; in cold weather, drain the water to prevent freezing and breakage.
- When folding or transporting, use the safety catches and keep fingers clear of hinges and pinch or shear points.
- Do not apply solvents, oils or abrasive cleaners; use only mild products specified by the manufacturer.
Restrictions of use
- Intended for striking or rebound training only with balls and equipment compatible with the model.
- Do not use with metal, sharp objects or stones; avoid projectiles that are excessively heavy or of unsuitable size.
- Do not hang from, sit on or place body weight on nets, frames, shields or bags unless the product is designed for it.
- Do not use near glass, vehicles, stairways, pools or walkways.
- Only one person interacting with the equipment at a time, except for clearly intended partner drills with suitable protection.
- Do not use when extremely fatigued or under the influence of alcohol or substances that impair coordination.
- Children: use models appropriate for their age and size, always under adult supervision and with protective gear.
- Stop use if you experience pain or dizziness, or if you detect any damage to the equipment.
