Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Trips and falls due to loose nets, ropes or tensioners lying on the ground.
- Entanglement and trapping of fingers, hands, head or clothing in the netting.
- Impacts from unexpected ball rebounds or from tensioners releasing under tension.
- Collapse or toppling of poorly secured or unbalanced posts and goals.
- Cuts and abrasions from exposed edges, ties, staples or metal parts.
- Sudden breakage of the net due to wear, sun exposure or prolonged moisture.
- Damage from strong winds turning the net into a 'sail' and moving the structure.
- Irritation from accumulated dust, dirt or mould.
Safe use
- Before each use, check that the netting, seams and anchor points are intact and secure.
- Assemble and tension following the product instructions; avoid over-tensioning.
- Secure posts and goals with appropriate anchors on a stable, level surface.
- Keep the play area clear; remove loose ropes and sharp objects.
- When tightening or releasing ropes/elastic cords, keep your face and body away from the line of travel.
- Protect or cover exposed hooks and ends; close karabiners and clips properly.
- Teach children not to climb, swing or put their head through the net; ensure constant supervision during play.
- If you need to adjust the height, use a stable ladder and do so when play is not in progress.
- Leave sufficient distance from walls, windows and light fittings to avoid impacts.
- Stop use in high winds, thunderstorms or poor visibility.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean periodically with water and pH-neutral soap; rinse and allow to dry completely.
- Avoid bleaches, solvents and abrasive products that may damage fibres or coatings.
- Do not store while damp; keep in a dry, ventilated, shaded place, preferably in a breathable bag.
- Protect from prolonged sun exposure and from sources of heat or flames.
- Regularly inspect the netting, knots, eyelets and metal accessories; replace worn or rusted parts.
- Release tension after prolonged use; during storms or out of season, dismantle or secure the net.
- Avoid dragging the net along the ground and contact with sharp edges.
- Keep out of reach of rodents and pets that may chew it.
Usage restrictions
- Do not use as a safety net, climbing net, hammock, swing or to support people.
- Do not use for lifting, transporting or restraining loads.
- Do not modify the netting (cut, tie knots in or burn) or mix incompatible components.
- Do not use near open flames, braziers or sources of intense heat.
- Do not install on unstable surfaces or exceed the dimensions or tensions recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not use if there are breaks, tears, loose seams, cracked anchors or structural rust.
- Children should only use under adult supervision.
