Usage Warnings

Inflatable Floats and Ride-Ons

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Drowning due to capsizing, falling into the water or slipping out of the float.
  • Rapid drifting due to wind or currents, moving away from the shore or safe areas.
  • Sudden deflation due to punctures, poorly closed valves or wear at the seams.
  • Impacts or entrapment when jumping onto the float or colliding with other users or objects.
  • Overpressure and bursting due to overinflation or expansion of air in direct sunlight.
  • False sense of security for non-swimmers.

Safe use

  • Use the float in swimming pools or calm, shallow waters. Avoid using it with waves, rip currents, strong winds or other currents.
  • Keep children under direct supervision and within arm’s reach at all times. Do not leave them alone on the float.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding inflation, maximum weight, number of users and method of use.
  • Inflate until firm but not hard. Allow room for air expansion with heat and ensure the valves are properly closed.
  • Do not jump from edges, rocks or boats onto the float. Get on and off carefully to avoid capsizing.
  • Do not tie the float to your body or clothing. Avoid long ropes that could become entangled.
  • Stay close to the shore and within marked areas. Do not use it in navigation areas or to head out to sea.
  • If you cannot swim or tire easily, stay in areas where you can stand and consider using an appropriate buoyancy aid.
  • If the weather changes, or it becomes windy or cold, leave the water and remove the float.

Storage and maintenance

  • Check the overall condition before each use: seams, valves and any leaks. Do not use it if you notice significant damage.
  • Rinse with fresh water after use in the sea or pool and allow to dry completely in the shade to prevent deterioration and mould.
  • Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces, sharp edges and extreme heat (car boots in the sun, radiators).
  • Do not leave it inflated in full sun for long periods. If not in use, partially deflate to reduce internal pressure.
  • For storage, deflate without forcing, fold gently and store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
  • Use suitable repair kits for small punctures and check for leaks before using again.

Restrictions on use

  • This is not a life-saving device and does not replace adult supervision.
  • Not suitable for the open sea, rivers with currents, areas with boat traffic or adverse weather conditions.
  • Do not use for diving, freediving, high jumps or as a tow platform for boats or jet skis.
  • Do not exceed the weight or number of people recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Babies and toddlers must use age-appropriate products and only with an adult within arm’s reach.
  • Do not use under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair attention or reaction.
