Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Tipping or shifting of the unit due to washing machine vibrations, especially during the spin cycle.
- Falling objects or shelf breakage due to overloading or poor weight distribution.
- Finger trapping when closing doors or drawers, or impact injuries from sudden closures.
- Deterioration from humidity, condensation or leaks that can weaken the structure and cause instability.
- Overheating or malfunction of the appliance due to obstructed ventilation or blocked access to the mains plug, tap and drain.
- Detachment of the assembly due to wall fixings that are insufficient or unsuitable for the wall type.
- Slips caused by detergent or water spills on surfaces near the unit.
- Damage to cables or hoses if pinched or forced where they pass through the unit.
- Minor cuts from sharp edges or exposed screws/fasteners if not properly protected.
Safe use
- Check dimensional compatibility and always observe the maximum load specified for shelves and worktops.
- Install the unit on a level surface and secure it to the wall using all designated fixing points and fittings appropriate to the wall type.
- Leave sufficient clearance around the appliance for ventilation and quick access to the mains plug, tap and drain; do not block access panels or service covers.
- Distribute weight: place heavier items (detergents, large containers) on lower, central shelves.
- Keep cables and hoses free of kinks and pinching as they pass through or around the unit; avoid tight bend radii.
- Do not place or stack appliances on surfaces not designed for this; use only dedicated stacking solutions where applicable.
- Wipe up spills of water, bleach or fabric softener immediately and use trays or drip trays for containers that may leak.
- During washing, keep doors and drawers closed and ensure they do not strike the washing machine due to vibration.
- Do not obstruct vents or openings in the unit intended for ventilation.
Storage and maintenance
- Position the unit in a dry, well-ventilated area; wipe away condensation or splashes to prevent swelling and mould.
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap; avoid abrasives, metal scouring pads and solvents that could damage surfaces.
- Periodically check screws, hinges and wall fixings; retighten if you detect looseness and replace any damaged parts.
- Regularly check that shelves show no bowing or cracks and reduce the load if necessary.
- Keep access to the mains plug, shut-off tap and drain clear so you can act quickly in the event of an incident.
- Encourage airflow by leaving the doors ajar after use if humidity or a stale odour builds up.
- Protect the floor with stoppers or anti-slip bases, if specified by the furniture manufacturer, to reduce vibration and slipping.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use as a ladder, seat, work platform or support to climb on.
- Do not exceed the maximum load per shelf or worktop, nor store heavy objects at height.
- Do not install outdoors or in areas with direct exposure to water or continuous steam.
- Do not modify the structure of the unit (cut reinforcements, drill outside designated areas) or remove stabilising elements.
- Do not cover the rear of the appliance with solid panels or block air outlets.
- Do not store flammable or pressurised products near heat sources (e.g., tumble dryers) or in unventilated compartments.
- Do not allow children to play with the unit or hang from doors or shelves; keep detergents and cleaning products out of their reach.
