Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Drowning from accidental falls or lack of supervision, especially in children.
  • Slips and falls on wet surfaces or when using unstable ladders.
  • Entrapment by suction at water inlets or skimmers; entanglement of hair, clothing or accessories.
  • Injuries from jumping or diving into shallow areas.
  • Skin and eye irritation or hazardous fumes due to improper handling of chemicals.
  • Electrical risk from equipment near water or faulty connections.
  • Tipping, deformation or breakage of the structure due to overloading, poor assembly or strong winds.
  • Risk of falling or entrapment under covers and tarpaulins.
  • Unsanitary water due to poor maintenance (algae, bacteria) and excessive exposure to sun and heat.

Safe use

  • Maintain constant adult supervision over children and people with limited swimming ability; remove toys from the water when finished to avoid attracting children.
  • Control access when not in use (barrier, secure cover) and remove/raise the ladder in above-ground pools where possible.
  • Check before each use the condition of walls, joints, edges and the stability of the ladder.
  • Avoid running around the pool; always enter and exit via the ladder.
  • Do not dive or jump if the depth is unknown; in small pools, keep your head above the water.
  • Do not block or play near suction inlets; use grilles in good condition and tie back long hair.
  • Keep electrical appliances away from water; switch off the pump and filter before handling valves, hoses or pre-filters.
  • Handle chemicals outdoors, wearing gloves and eye protection, do not mix them and follow the manufacturer's dosage instructions; observe the waiting time before swimming after treatments.
  • Cease use during electrical storms, poor visibility or if the water is not clear.
  • Avoid swimming under the influence of alcohol or drugs and take extra care with hydration and sun protection.

Storage and maintenance

  • Remove leaves and debris regularly and maintain the filtration system as per the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Periodically check the structure, joints, valves, hoses, suction covers and ladder; replace damaged parts immediately.
  • Store chemicals in their original, tightly closed containers, in a cool, dry, ventilated place, out of reach of children and pets; do not decant or mix.
  • Keep chemicals away from heat sources and separate from one another, especially chlorinated products and acids.
  • Use a well-tensioned cover when not in use; remove any water accumulated on the tarpaulin to prevent sagging.
  • Keep the surrounding area clean, clear and, if possible, with non-slip surfaces.
  • For demountable or inflatable pools, at the end of the season drain, rinse, dry completely and store without forced folds, protected from punctures.
  • Before storms or in winter, secure the installation, remove loose accessories and follow the manufacturer's guidance regarding water level or draining.
  • Inspect cables, plugs and connections of the filtration equipment; keep them dry and in good condition.

Usage restrictions

  • Not suitable for children without continuous adult supervision; block access when not in use.
  • Not to be used by non-swimmers without appropriate flotation aids and close supervision.
  • Diving or jumping is prohibited in small pools or shallow areas.
  • Do not swim during intensive chemical treatments or if the water shows turbidity, strong odours or causes irritation.
  • Do not allow pets in the pool or use glass containers in the pool area.
  • Do not use if the structure, ladder, hoses or suction covers are damaged or missing.
  • Do not sit or lean on edges or walls, especially in above-ground or inflatable pools.
  • Avoid swimming with open wounds, gastroenteritis or fever; shower before entering the water.
  • During electrical storms or strong winds, do not swim and secure the cover and accessories.
