Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Tipping or sliding on uneven, sloped or wet surfaces.
  • Finger pinches in hinges, reclining backrests and folding mechanisms.
  • Falls when sitting down or standing up if the sun lounger moves or the backrest is not properly locked.
  • Very hot surfaces due to sun exposure (metal, plastic or fabric), with a risk of minor burns.
  • Movement or impact due to strong gusts of wind.
  • Breakage of deteriorated fabric, cords or slats that may give way under load.
  • Additional slipperiness due to sun creams/oils and pool water on the surface of the sun lounger.

Safe use

  • Place the sun lounger on a firm, level and stable surface; check it does not move before sitting down.
  • Open and close slowly, keeping hands away from hinges and pivot points; lock the backrest in the desired position.
  • If the model has wheels, lock them before use.
  • Sit down and lie down gently; do not jump or sit on the edge or only on the footrest.
  • Observe the maximum load and number of users specified by the manufacturer.
  • Avoid placing it right on the edge of the pool to reduce the risk of falling into the water.
  • In windy conditions, fold, weigh down or shelter the sun lounger to prevent movement.
  • Use a towel if you have applied creams/oils to reduce slipperiness and protect the fabric.

Storage and maintenance

  • Periodically check screws, bolts, joints, end stops and the condition of the fabric or slats; do not use the sun lounger if you detect play, cracks or breakage.
  • Clean with water and mild neutral soap; avoid abrasive scourers, solvents or harsh cleaners.
  • Rinse off chlorine or salt residue after use in pools or near the sea to prolong service life.
  • Dry completely before folding or covering to prevent mould and corrosion.
  • Store in a dry, ventilated place, preferably under cover or with a breathable cover.
  • During strong winds or storms, fold and shelter the sun lounger.
  • Avoid dragging it over rough surfaces; lift it between two people if it is heavy.

Restrictions of use

  • Intended for use as a seat/sun lounger for rest; do not use as a ladder, scaffold or work platform.
  • Do not stand on the sun lounger or jump on it.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load or allow more users than indicated by the manufacturer.
  • Do not place near open flames, barbecues or sources of intense heat.
  • Do not allow children to play with the adjustment or folding mechanisms; adult supervision when children are present.
  • Avoid use on very slippery surfaces (wet tiles, algae) without first ensuring stability.
  • Keep pets that bite or scratch away to prevent damage to fabrics and cords.
