Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Impact or neck and back injuries from the force of the jet if used too close or for too long.
- Slips and falls due to wet surfaces around the waterfall.
- Hair, clothing or accessories becoming trapped in the outlet opening or slots if brought too close.
- Cuts or bruising from sharp edges, corners or exposed fixings if the structure is damaged.
- Electrical risk where lights, pumps or other electrical components are near water and cables or connections are damaged.
- Drowning risk in pool or spa environments, especially for children and non-swimmers.
- Possible discomfort from unsuitable water temperature if the system is supplied with hot water.
Safe use
- Install and commission the equipment following the manufacturer's instructions; check fixings, watertightness and flow rate before first use.
- Start with a low flow and increase gradually; keep a sensible distance and avoid directing the jet straight at the neck or head.
- Limit exposure to short periods and alternate with breaks; stop use if you feel pain, numbness or dizziness.
- Tie up long hair and remove necklaces, scarves or bracelets that could get caught.
- Do not block the outlet with your body, hands or towels; do not climb on, sit on or hang from the structure.
- Walk carefully in wet areas and, if possible, wear non-slip footwear; signpost wet floors.
- Check the water temperature before standing under the waterfall when connected to hot water.
- If there are electrical components, switch off the power and shut off the water supply before cleaning, adjusting or handling the equipment.
Storage and maintenance
- Periodically clean the outlet and slots with a soft cloth and non-abrasive products to prevent limescale and blockages.
- Rinse with fresh water after use in salt water or water with a high chemical content and dry the surfaces to reduce corrosion.
- Regularly check fixings, seals and connections; look for leaks, vibrations or unusual noises and do not use the equipment if you detect damage.
- If the model includes filters or mesh screens, clean them when you notice loss of flow or irregular splashing.
- During periods of inactivity or frost, drain the circuit and protect the waterfall with a cover to prevent damage from ice or impacts.
- Before each season, check the condition of cables and connections (if any) and ensure they remain dry and well protected.
- Use compatible spare parts recommended by the manufacturer and replace any worn parts or those with sharp edges.
Usage restrictions
- Not recommended for children without constant adult supervision; keep children and non-swimmers away from the waterfall.
- May not be suitable for people with neck or back problems, recent injuries, hypertension, pacemakers, or those who are pregnant; if in doubt, avoid direct jets and prolonged sessions.
- Do not use the waterfall under the influence of alcohol or sedatives, or if you feel drowsy.
- Do not use the equipment if the water is excessively hot, cloudy or has a strong chemical odour.
- Do not modify the waterfall or connect it to pumps or pressures other than those specified by the manufacturer.
- Do not operate the product if you observe cracks, loose parts, protruding fixings or damaged cables.
- Keep pets and loose objects away from the water outlet to prevent blockages and impacts.
