Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Tipping or coming away if the unit is not properly anchored or level.
  • Fingers trapped in doors and drawers when closing.
  • Deterioration due to humidity, leaks or standing water, which can cause swelling, mould and unpleasant odours.
  • Damage to concealed pipes or cables when drilling walls during installation.
  • Heavy objects falling from inside the unit or off the worktop due to overloading or poor weight distribution.
  • Knocks against edges or corners in confined bathroom spaces.

Safe use

  • Install the unit following the manufacturer’s instructions and use fixings suitable for the wall type; if in doubt about the wall or fixings, seek qualified help.
  • Level the unit and check it is firmly secured before fitting the basin or loading it with items.
  • Before drilling, check for pipes and cables in the wall using appropriate tools and methods.
  • Do not stand, sit or hang on the unit, the worktop or the drawers.
  • Distribute the load: place heavier items in the lower compartments and avoid overloading shelves and drawers.
  • Open and close doors and drawers slowly to avoid trapped fingers and misalignment.
  • Wipe up splashes and spills immediately, especially at joints and edges.
  • Keep the seals between worktop, wall and basin in good condition to reduce water ingress.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store cleaning products and cosmetics tightly closed; use trays or liners to prevent spills inside the unit.
  • Avoid storing corrosive or strongly fragranced substances directly on unprotected surfaces.
  • Clean with a soft cloth, slightly dampened, and dry afterwards; do not use abrasive scourers or products that may discolour or damage the finishes.
  • Ventilate the bathroom regularly to reduce humidity and prevent mould.
  • Periodically check screws, hinges, runners and fixings; tighten or replace parts if you notice play, noises or stiffness when opening/closing.
  • Inspect the area beneath the basin and the trap for drips; repair any leak and dry the area as soon as possible.
  • Avoid prolonged contact of the legs or base with standing water on the floor.

Restrictions of use

  • Indoor use, in bathroom environments, keeping the unit away from sources of direct water (continuous jets or splashes) and intense heat.
  • Do not use the unit as a step, bench, support to stand on, or for loads above those recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not modify the structure or make additional holes that could weaken the unit or interfere with plumbing.
  • Do not store very heavy items on high shelves if there is a risk of them falling when the door is opened.
  • Keep cleaning products, sharp objects and small accessories that could be swallowed out of the reach of children.
  • Supervise children in the bathroom and prevent them from hanging from doors, handles or drawers.
