Main risks

• Tipping or slipping when sitting or resting feet on uneven or very smooth floors.
• Breakage or collapse due to overloading, jumping or use as a step.
• Finger trapping on models that include a lid or storage compartments.
• Fire or burn risk if placed near flames, heaters, fireplaces or cigarettes.
• Suffocation or ingestion of filling if seams split or the zip opens; especially dangerous for children and pets.
• Tripping hazards when placed in walkways or if they protrude into corridors and doorways.
• Unexpected slipping and floor damage from unprotected bases or legs.

Safe use

• Place the footstool or pouffe on a flat, stable surface; use non-slip pads or mats if the floor is slippery.
• Sit centrally and avoid leaning on the edges to reduce the risk of tipping.
• Do not stand, do not jump and do not use it as a step or scaffold. Observe the maximum load specified by the manufacturer.
• Keep a safe distance from heat sources, candles and sparks. Do not smoke on it or place hot objects on it.
• On models with a lid, open and close keeping fingers clear of the hinges and do not leave the lid unsecured when children are nearby.
• Keep zips and fasteners closed. Do not access the filling compartment.
• Position it so it does not obstruct exits or high-traffic walkways.
• Remove and dispose of packaging materials immediately, keeping them out of reach of children and pets.

Storage and maintenance

• Regularly check seams, zips, legs and joints (if any). Stop using the product if you detect looseness, breakage or filling leaks.
• Clean according to the fabric care instructions. Avoid soaking the filling and ensure thorough drying to prevent mould and bad odours.
• Vacuum regularly to remove dust and air the product to keep it fresh.
• Protect the floor with felt pads or protectors on the legs/base and replace them when worn.
• Store it in a dry, ventilated place, away from moisture, direct heat and strong sunlight.
• Do not stack pouffes or benches unless expressly designed for this.

Usage restrictions

• Intended for indoor use, unless the product expressly states it is suitable for outdoor use.
• Do not use as a ladder, high stool, primary seat or support for standing up.
• Avoid dragging it with people sitting on it; lift it to move it to avoid damaging joints or floors.
• Do not allow unsupervised use by young children, especially on models with zips, lids or loose filling.
• Keep it away from pets that may bite or scratch to prevent tears and release of the filling.
• Do not place next to radiators, heaters, fireplaces, candles or other sources of ignition.
