Usage Warnings
Speaker Stands
Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Speaker or stand/mount falling due to incorrect installation, overloading or accidental impacts.
- Tipping over due to uneven floors, unsuitable height or a high centre of gravity.
- Wall or ceiling anchors pulling out due to fixings unsuitable for the base material.
- Trips or tugs caused by poorly routed cabling in walkways.
- Finger trapping when adjusting height, rotation or tilt.
- Floor damage or slipping due to unprotected bases or feet without non-slip pads.
- Moisture, corrosion or wear that reduce holding strength or stability.
- Vibrations that loosen screws and fittings over time.
Safe use
- Check the speaker’s size and weight compatibility with the stand or mount; do not exceed the recommended load.
- Follow the assembly instructions and use the supplied fixings and accessories.
- On a wall or ceiling, use suitable wall plugs and screws for the material and anchor into solid elements; avoid fixings only into plaster without reinforcement.
- Check level and stability before placing the speaker and engage all locks.
- Place non-slip pads or bumpers between the stand or mount and the speaker if the design allows.
- Route cables along skirting boards or walls, leave slack and avoid strain on the connectors.
- Keep the stand or mount away from edges and high-traffic areas to prevent knocks.
- Make adjustments preferably without the speaker fitted and keep your hands away from pinch points.
- If drilling, avoid areas with possible cables or pipes and use tools in good condition with appropriate protection.
Storage and maintenance
- Periodically check screws, locks and anchors; re-tighten if necessary.
- Check the condition of rubber parts, feet and adhesives; replace them if worn or coming loose.
- Clean with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive products or those that leave the surface slippery.
- Keep the stand or mount away from moisture and direct heat sources; dry any spills.
- To move it, first remove the speaker and disconnect the cables; do not drag the base.
- Protect the floor with felt pads or bases if the stand has hard edges or spikes.
- Store small parts and leftover fixings in a sealed bag, out of the reach of children.
Usage restrictions
- For indoor use unless the product expressly states it is suitable for outdoor use.
- Do not exceed the maximum load or use speakers disproportionate to the stand’s base.
- Do not install on hollow, damaged or inadequate surfaces that cannot support the intended load.
- Do not modify the stand or add improvised counterweights; do not replace the fixings with non-equivalent parts.
- Do not place the stand on sloped, slippery or unstable surfaces.
- Do not allow children to climb on or play near the stand or mount; keep pets away.
- Do not relocate the assembly by pulling on the cables or move it with the speaker mounted.
- Do not block corridors, doors or evacuation routes with stands and cabling.
