Usage Warnings

Heating System Cabinets

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Cuts to hands from metal edges or sharp parts during handling and installation.
  • Finger trapping in hinges or when closing the door.
  • Falls or impacts from the cabinet’s weight during assembly, or due to inadequate fixing.
  • Damage to concealed pipes or cables when drilling walls, with risk of hot water leaks or electric shock.
  • Burns from contact with manifolds, pipes or other hot components housed inside.
  • Overheating or fire if ventilation grilles are obstructed or flammable materials are stored inside.
  • Corrosion and condensation that may deteriorate the cabinet and the components located within.
  • Unauthorised access enabling improper tampering with valves or electrical components.

Safe use

  • Handle with protective gloves and hold the cabinet by secure points to avoid cuts and accidental drops.
  • Before working inside, shut off the hot water supply and, if actuators or cables are present, isolate the corresponding power supply.
  • Check for cables and pipes in the wall before drilling; use detection methods and drill carefully.
  • Use anchoring systems suitable for the wall or floor material, ensuring stable, level support.
  • Keep ventilation grilles and openings clear; do not cover the front or sides.
  • Do not hang from the door or place loads on the cabinet; avoid impacts to hinges and locks.
  • Ensure it is properly closed; if it has a key, keep it securely to prevent unauthorised access.
  • Leave sufficient space in front of the cabinet to open the door and allow inspection and maintenance.
  • Immediately dry any spillage or visible condensation inside to reduce the risk of corrosion.

Storage and maintenance

  • Before installation, store in a dry, ventilated place and protect from impacts; avoid stacking in a way that causes deformation.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, splashes or saline environments that accelerate corrosion.
  • Carry out periodic inspections of fixings, hinges, latch/lock and the cabinet’s alignment and flatness; re-tighten any loose screws.
  • Clean with a soft cloth and a neutral cleaner; do not use abrasives or high-pressure water jets.
  • Remove dust and lint from grilles to maintain ventilation and heat dissipation.
  • Monitor for the appearance of rust or flaking and treat it to prevent spread.
  • Periodically check that there are no leaks, drips or persistent condensation inside.
  • Keep the front area clear to facilitate quick access in case of emergency or maintenance.

Restrictions of use

  • Do not use as a general storage unit; do not store flammable liquids, aerosols, textiles or objects that could block ventilation.
  • Do not use as a step, seat or support to climb or to work at height.
  • Do not modify the structure by drilling, cutting or covering grilles, as this may compromise ventilation and safety.
  • Do not install in narrow passages or escape routes where opening the door could obstruct passage.
  • Keep out of reach of children; where access is possible, provide appropriate supervision and secure locking.
  • Installation and any associated hydraulic or electrical connections must be carried out by qualified personnel.
  • Do not locate outdoors or near sources of direct heat if the model is not intended for this.
  • Do not cover with furniture or cladding that prevents inspection, access to valves or proper heat dissipation.
