Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Falls from the platform, from the sides, or at the end of the slide.
- Tipping or movement of the slide due to uneven ground or poor fixing.
- Trapping of fingers, hands or clothing between parts, handrails, or at the junction with the ground.
- Bumps and collisions between children in the access and exit areas.
- Very hot surfaces due to sun exposure, or slippery due to water, mud or ice.
- Cuts or scratches from edges, burrs or damaged parts.
- Snagging of laces, scarves, necklaces, backpacks or helmets.
Safe use
- Place and use on a level, stable surface, preferably with impact-absorbing material; avoid concrete, tiles or stone.
- Leave a clear area around it and, especially, at the end of the slide; keep it away from walls, fences, furniture, branches and swimming pools.
- Constant adult supervision. One child at a time on the slide, and wait until the exit area is clear before the next.
- Climb using the steps, holding on with both hands. Slide down seated, facing forwards and feet first; do not go head-first or jump from the platform.
- Do not climb on the sliding surface or the outside of the structure.
- Check the surface temperature before use; shade it or wait if it is hot.
- Avoid use when the steps or slide are wet, icy, or in strong winds. If used with water, control the flow, do not add soap, and ensure a non-slip landing area.
- Appropriate clothing and footwear: no long laces, scarves or necklaces; no backpacks or helmets that could snag; footwear with a secure fit.
Storage and maintenance
- Regularly check screws, joints, steps and handrails; tighten or replace loose or damaged parts.
- Inspect for cracks in plastic, splinters in wood, and signs of rust or deformation; remove the slide from use until repaired if there is damage.
- Clean with water and mild soap; remove sand, leaves or mud from the slide and steps to reduce slipping.
- Dry after rain. During prolonged periods of bad weather, store or cover it when possible to protect it from the sun and the elements.
- If the model allows anchoring, check its condition after storms or ground movement.
- Keep the landing area soft and free of objects, toys or stones.
- Do not apply waxes, oils or products that increase sliding speed.
Restrictions on use
- Follow the age, weight and height limits recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not allow more than one child at a time on the slide, nor slide while carrying another in your arms.
- Do not modify the structure or remove guards, stops or handrails.
- Do not place on balconies, improvised platforms, stairs or near edges with a drop.
- Do not position near heat sources, barbecues, bicycle traffic or busy walkways.
- Do not use with toy vehicles or objects on the slide or in the exit area.
