Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- The unit tipping over due to uneven loading, cable pulls, or if someone leans on it or climbs on it.
- Turntable or equipment falling due to an uneven or slippery surface.
- Overloading shelves or the top surface, causing breakage and falling objects.
- Overheating of amplifiers and power supplies in enclosed compartments without ventilation.
- Finger pinching in hinges, doors or drawers.
- Trips caused by loose or poorly routed cables.
- Damage from moisture, spills, or exposure to heat and direct sunlight that can warp the furniture and vinyl records.
- Excessive vibrations affecting turntable performance and equipment stability.
Safe use
- Place the unit on a flat, level surface; adjust the feet if fitted.
- Use anti-tip devices and, for tall units, secure to the wall with fixings appropriate to the wall type.
- Observe the load capacity stated by the manufacturer and distribute weight evenly; place heavier equipment on the lower shelves.
- Avoid placing powerful speakers on the same unit if they generate vibrations; use non-slip bases under the turntable.
- Manage cabling with cable grommets or cable ties, avoiding strain, crushing, and routing across walkways.
- Ensure ventilation: leave space around amplifiers, power strips and transformers; do not cover vents or obstruct airflow.
- Open and close doors/drawers gently and keep hands clear of hinges and runners.
- To move it, empty the unit and lift it between two people, holding it by structural parts; do not drag it.
- During assembly, follow the product instructions, use all fixings, and check stability before placing equipment and vinyl records.
- Position the setup away from heat sources, water and direct sunlight, and leave sufficient rear clearance for ventilation and cable routing.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean with a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp; avoid abrasive products, ammonia or alcohol. Wipe up any spills immediately.
- Periodically check screws, fittings, feet and wall anchors; retighten if you detect looseness.
- Protect the surface with bumpers or pads under the turntable and equipment to reduce vibrations and prevent scratches.
- Store vinyl records vertically, without packing them too tightly, and away from heat and humidity.
- Keep ventilation openings and cable grommets clear; do not allow dust to accumulate inside compartments.
- Check the condition of cables and power strips; if they show signs of damage or overheating, stop using them and replace them.
- If any part of the unit is damaged, repair or replace it before continuing to use it with heavy equipment.
Usage restrictions
- Do not use as a seat, ladder or as a surface to stand or jump on.
- Do not install outdoors or in rooms with high humidity or risk of splashes.
- Do not modify the structure (drilling, cutting, removal of reinforcements) or replace fittings with non-equivalent ones.
- Do not overload the top surface with devices unrelated to the intended use, nor stack equipment in a way that blocks ventilation.
- Do not place candles, braziers or other open flames on the unit.
- Keep out of reach of small children and prevent them from climbing; if necessary, use child locks on doors or drawers.
- Avoid running cables through walkways unless they are secured.
- Do not place the turntable too close to speakers that may cause acoustic feedback; keep a reasonable separation.
