Safe use
- Check that the accessory is compatible with your equipment and respect its rated load capacity.
- Before mounting, adjusting or cleaning firearm accessories, keep the firearm unloaded, with the safety engaged and pointed in a safe direction.
- Wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling knives, arrowheads and tools; always cut away from your body and store blades in their sheath.
- Adjust straps, harnesses and gear carriers with no slack; avoid loops or loose ends that could snag.
- On elevated stands, use a harness and suitable anchor points; ascend and descend calmly, maintaining secure handholds and footholds.
- Secure decoys, stakes and tripods firmly to prevent tipping; keep walkways clear.
- With lasers and rangefinders, do not aim at eyes, people, vehicles or aircraft; with torches, avoid dazzling others.
- Protect your hearing with suitable hearing protection when there is loud noise.
- Handle attractants, repellents and cleaners in well-ventilated areas; avoid contact with skin and eyes, do not inhale or ingest them, and wash your hands after use.
- Keep chemicals and baits away from children, pets and food; avoid spills and overapplication.
- Use the recommended type of batteries; do not mix new and used batteries or different chemistries, and observe the installation polarity.
- If an accessory shows cracks, looseness, rust or damaged stitching, do not use it until the affected part is replaced or repaired.
Storage and maintenance
- Remove mud and moisture after each use and dry thoroughly before storing to prevent corrosion and mould.
- Store knives, arrowheads and sharp tools in rigid sheaths, locked away and out of reach of children and pets.
- Keep aerosols, attractants and solvents tightly closed, upright and in a cool, ventilated place, away from heat and flames.
- Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the device for a prolonged period; store them with the terminals protected.
- Periodically check seams, buckles, carabiners, clips, screws and rails; replace worn or cracked components.
- Keep textiles, nets and camouflage away from sparks and open flames.
- Protect metal surfaces with suitable maintenance products and follow their directions.
- Clean optics and lenses with specific lens cloths to prevent scratches.
- Store backpacks, cases and ropes hung up or laid out to avoid permanent creases.
- Transport sharp or heavy accessories in cases or sheaths that prevent movement inside the vehicle.
Restrictions on use
- Not a toy: keep out of reach of children; children should only handle accessories under adult supervision.
- Do not use accessories if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or when extremely fatigued.
- Avoid use when strong wind, rain or ice compromise stability or visibility.
- Do not modify accessories or improvise repairs with unsuitable parts.
