Safe use

  • Do not climb on or jump on the furniture; avoid sitting on backrests or armrests and do not use as a step.
  • Keep a safe distance from braziers, barbecues and patio heaters; avoid smoking on cushions.
  • In windy areas, store cushions and secure the furniture according to the manufacturer's instructions, or place it in a sheltered area.
  • Check assembly and stability before use; tighten fixings if necessary.
  • Dry puddles and clean grease spills to prevent slips and stains.
  • When moving, lift with two people to avoid injury and damage to legs and floors.

Storage and maintenance

  • Allow to dry completely after rain; air and dry cushions before storing them.
  • Protect with breathable covers; do not cover while damp to prevent mould.
  • Store cushions and textiles indoors during periods of rain, snow or high humidity.
  • Reduce prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to minimise discolouration and brittleness.
  • Remove accumulated leaves, dust and snow that retain moisture.
  • Regularly check joints, slats, webbing and legs; replace damaged parts before use.

  • Do not use as a bed, swing, trampoline or for standing on.
  • Do not hang plant pots, umbrellas or other loads from the backrest or armrests.
  • Do not place so as to block walkways, doors or evacuation routes.
  • Do not place very hot objects, or items with points or sharp edges, directly on the surfaces.
  • Do not use pressure washers at close range or solvents that could damage the finishes.
  • Keep children and people with reduced mobility under appropriate supervision; watch for gaps where they could become trapped.
  • For intensive use or in public spaces, increase the frequency of inspections and use fixing systems only if specified by the manufacturer.
