Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Tipping or instability due to uneven surfaces, incorrect assembly, or overloading.
- Collapse due to loose fixings, damaged joints, or worn parts.
- Finger entrapment in hinges, folding mechanisms, or when stacking chairs.
- Cuts or splinters from damaged edges, and breakage of table tops, especially glass, due to impact or thermal shock.
- Burns from metal or glass surfaces that can heat up in the sun.
- Slips and falls on wet floors or on surfaces with sand/dust.
- Toppling or lightweight items being blown away by gusts of wind, especially parasols.
- Fire or burns from proximity to barbecues, heaters, or other sources of heat and open flames.
- Mould, corrosion, or material weakening due to prolonged exposure to moisture and sunlight.
- Injuries when lifting or moving bulky or heavy items.
Safe use
- Assemble according to the product instructions and check that all fixings are properly tightened before use.
- Place the set on a firm, level surface, leaving safe clearance around it.
- Check stability before sitting or applying weight; avoid rocking or making sudden movements.
- Respect the maximum load and the intended use of each piece; do not stand or sit on the table or on armrests.
- For folding or extendable items, keep hands away from hinges and ensure the locks are engaged before use.
- With glass table tops, avoid knocks and impacts and do not place very hot or very cold objects directly; use coasters or trivets.
- On windy days, close and remove parasols and secure lightweight items.
- Keep the furniture away from barbecues, fireplaces, and heating appliances.
- If the floor or furniture is wet, dry them before use to reduce the risk of slipping.
- To move items, lift without dragging; use gloves and assistance from another person if necessary.
- During assembly, keep screws and small parts out of the reach of children and pets.
Storage and maintenance
- Periodically check screws, joints, and stability; retighten and replace worn or damaged parts.
- Clean with water and pH-neutral soap or products appropriate for the material; avoid abrasives and high-pressure jets at close range.
- Dry thoroughly after cleaning or rain to minimise rust, mould, or swelling.
- Protect with breathable covers when not in use and, if possible, store under cover during periods of bad weather.
- Store cushions and textiles in a dry, ventilated place; air them regularly to prevent unpleasant odours and mould.
- Inspect glass table tops regularly; if they show impacts, chips, or instability, stop using them until they are replaced.
- In coastal areas, rinse with fresh water periodically to reduce the effect of salt spray.
- Fit protectors to the legs to avoid direct contact with standing water and to protect the floor.
- Check parasol bases and anchors frequently and replace them if they are cracked or unstable.
- Avoid continuous exposure to intense sun when not in use to reduce discolouration and excessive heating.
Usage restrictions
- Do not use as a ladder, platform, workbench, or exercise equipment.
- Do not hang from or swing on chairs, backrests, or table edges; do not sit on the table.
- Do not exceed the stated load capacity for seats, tables, and auxiliary shelves.
- Do not use parasols open in strong winds or leave them open unattended.
- Do not bring open flames, embers, or heating appliances close to cushions, textiles, or wooden parts.
- Do not use on very soft or uneven surfaces that compromise stability.
- Do not drag heavy furniture; it can damage the product and cause injury.
- During severe frosts, avoid moving fragile items or operating folding mechanisms.
- Children should use the furniture under supervision and must not climb or play in gaps or on structural parts.
- During assembly or when there are loose parts, keep them out of the reach of children and pets.
