Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Falls when getting in or out of the hammock, or due to sudden swings.
- Tipping or collapse due to incorrect assembly, poor anchorage or an unstable stand.
- Entrapment of fingers, hair or clothing in ropes, carabiners, chains or adjustment mechanisms.
- Entanglement or strangulation with ropes, especially in the presence of children and pets.
- Striking walls, railings, trees or other furniture due to insufficient clearance around it.
- Damage from strong winds that may move the hammock or topple the stand.
- Deterioration of fabrics, seams and fittings due to sun, moisture or corrosion, reducing strength.
- Overheated metal surfaces from the sun that can cause minor burns.
Safe use
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the product’s maximum recommended load.
- Before each use, check that the stand, anchor points, screws, carabiners, chains and knots are secure and undamaged.
- Place free-standing stands on firm, level surfaces; avoid uneven or slippery ground.
- If the hammock is hung from trees or structures, use solid anchor points and appropriate straps or hardware; check the stability of the anchor point.
- Leave sufficient clearance around it to avoid hitting objects or walls while swinging.
- Get in and out calmly: sit in the centre first and gently swing your legs; do not stand up on or jump onto the hammock.
- Avoid extreme swinging, full rotations and sudden movements that compromise stability.
- Empty pockets of sharp objects that could damage the fabric.
- Do not use it in strong wind, storms, or if the fabric is very wet and slippery.
- Before lying down, carefully touch metal parts exposed to the sun to check their temperature.
Storage and maintenance
- Air-dry the hammock if it gets wet and store it clean to prevent mould and bad odours.
- Clean with water and mild soap; avoid bleach and solvents that could damage the materials.
- Regularly inspect fabric, seams, ropes, carabiners, chains, hooks and stand; replace worn parts before use.
- Re-tighten the stand's screws and joints regularly.
- Use covers or store the set in a covered place when not in use for prolonged periods; remove the hammock in strong winds or over winter.
- Keep the hammock away from heat sources and open flames (barbecues, stoves).
- Rinse with fresh water after contact with salt or chlorinated water and allow to dry completely.
Usage restrictions
- Single-person use unless the model expressly states otherwise.
- Do not use as a swing, trampoline or play equipment.
- Do not exceed the recommended weight or combine unstable loads (people and pets at the same time, for example) if the product is not designed for it.
- Young children should only use it under constant adult supervision; keep ropes out of their reach when not in use.
- Avoid installing and using it on narrow balconies or elevated areas without sufficient safety clearance.
- People with limited mobility or balance issues may need assistance to get in and out safely.
- Do not modify the product or replace parts with others not specified by the manufacturer.
