Main risks

• Tipping over due to pushing, impacts, uneven floors or draughts, with possible injury or damage to objects.
• Finger trapping in hinges or joints when folding or unfolding.
• Trip hazards from protruding legs, bases or panels in walkways.
• Instability when hanging garments or other items, or when using the room divider as a support.
• Fire or overheating risk if placed near radiators, heaters, candles or other heat sources.
• Cuts from edges, corners or broken panels, especially on models with glass or mirror.
• Moisture damage that can warp the material and compromise stability.

Safe use

• Place the room divider on a flat, dry surface; unfold the panels slowly until a stable, even support is achieved.
• Keep fingers away from the hinges and handle the frame with both hands.
• Position the panels with a slight opening between them to improve balance, and avoid forcing the angles.
• Keep a safe distance from heat sources and open flames; do not cover radiators or air vents.
• Do not sit, stand or lean your weight on it; do not hang clothes, lights, plant pots or other items from the frame or panels.
• If the model includes castors, engage the brakes before use; if it includes stops or anchors, use them according to the product instructions.
• For indoor use unless otherwise stated; avoid strong draughts that could destabilise it.

Storage and maintenance

• Dust with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive products and excess water.
• Dry immediately if it gets wet and air it to prevent mould or warping.
• Periodically check screws, hinges and joints; tighten or replace damaged parts as appropriate.
• To move it, hold it by the frame and fold the panels; do not drag it to avoid damage to the base.
• When storing, keep it folded and secured in a stable position, out of walkways and protected from knocks.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and to very humid environments or sudden temperature changes.

Usage restrictions

• It is not a wall, door or safety barrier; do not use it to contain children, pets or to restrict access to hazardous areas.
• Do not place it blocking exits, narrow corridors, switches, detectors or air vents.
• Do not use it in bathrooms, terraces or outdoors unless the product is designed for it.
• Do not modify the structure or drill the frame; do not install electrical accessories on the room divider.
• Supervise its use around children and pets; do not allow climbing, pushing or playing by hiding behind it.
• Avoid using it where it may be exposed to door impacts or strong draughts from open windows.
