Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Falls due to loss of balance, potholes, kerbs or sudden braking.
- Collisions due to insufficient following distance or poor visibility.
- Slipping on wet or metal surfaces, or those with sand, leaves or road paint.
- Finger entrapment when folding/unfolding or when operating latches or catches.
- Sudden loss of power due to low battery or electrical failure.
- Overheating, smoke or fire if the battery is damaged or charged improperly.
- Brake or steering failure due to worn components or loose bolts/screws.
- Damage to electrical components from heavy splashes or partial immersion.
- Loss of control on steep slopes or with poorly distributed loads.
Safe use
- Before each ride, check brakes, tyres, lights, bell and that the folding system is securely locked.
- Adjust and secure components according to the product manual; avoid play in the handlebar, wheel and folding latch.
- Wear a helmet and, if possible, gloves and protective gear; closed shoes with a non-slip sole.
- Start in a low-power mode and practise basic manoeuvres in a clear, open area.
- Keep both hands on the handlebar and your feet within the deck; accelerate and brake progressively.
- Adjust your speed to visibility and surface conditions; increase your following distance and anticipate braking.
- Avoid distractions: do not use your mobile phone or wear headphones that isolate you from your surroundings.
- Be visible: use lights and reflective elements when light is low and wear bright colours.
- Avoid kerbs and obstacles; to get over them, dismount and walk.
- Cross grooves, tracks or metal covers slowly and as perpendicular as possible.
- If you notice noises, vibrations, loss of braking, a strange smell or electrical surges or jerking, stop and check before continuing.
- Avoid hanging items from the handlebar; they can destabilise the steering.
Storage and maintenance
- Charge only with the charger supplied by the manufacturer, on a hard, non-flammable surface, in a well-ventilated place.
- Do not charge unattended for prolonged periods or overnight; disconnect once charging is complete.
- Allow the scooter to cool before charging and do not charge it if it is wet.
- If the battery swells, emits an odour or overheats, stop using the scooter and do not charge it.
- Periodically check tyre and brake wear, and tighten bolts and latches when necessary.
- Keep tyre pressure within the range recommended by the manufacturer.
- Clean with a slightly damp cloth; avoid pressure washers or direct jets and dry after rain.
- Store in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- For long periods without use, leave the battery at a medium charge and top it up briefly every few weeks to avoid deep discharge.
- Keep the scooter and the charger out of the reach of children and pets.
Usage restrictions
- Single-person use: do not carry passengers, children or pets, and do not tow objects.
- Not suitable for stunts, stairs, jumps or intensive use off stable paved surfaces.
- Avoid riding on ice, compacted snow, deep puddles or loose sand.
- Do not use the scooter if there are damaged or loose parts, or if the brakes do not respond properly.
- Do not modify the electrical system, the battery or the speed limiter; avoid accessories that compromise stability.
- Do not ride under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that impairs your reactions.
- Do not exceed the recommended maximum load or carry items that affect steering or balance.
- Minors only with appropriate skills and height and, where applicable, under adult supervision; follow the manufacturer's guidance on age and weight.
- Avoid riding at night without working lights and reflective elements.
- Do not ride barefoot or with unstable footwear such as flip-flops.
