Main risks

Safe use
- Place on a level, firm surface; use non-slip pads where appropriate.
- Adhere to the stated load capacity and number of seats; distribute weight evenly.
- Do not climb on or jump on the furniture; avoid sitting on backrests or armrests and do not use as a step.
- Keep a safe distance from braziers, barbecues and patio heaters; avoid smoking on cushions.
- In windy areas, store cushions and secure the furniture according to the manufacturer's instructions, or place it in a sheltered area.
- Check assembly and stability before use; tighten fixings if necessary.
- Dry puddles and clean grease spills to prevent slips and stains.
- When moving, lift with two people to avoid injury and damage to legs and floors.
- On balconies or raised terraces, leave a gap from railings so they cannot be used as a foothold.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap; avoid abrasives, bleach and scouring pads.
- Allow to dry completely after rain; air and dry cushions before storing them.
- Protect with breathable covers; do not cover while damp to prevent mould.
- Store cushions and textiles indoors during periods of rain, snow or high humidity.
- Reduce prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to minimise discolouration and brittleness.
- Remove accumulated leaves, dust and snow that retain moisture.
- Regularly check joints, slats, webbing and legs; replace damaged parts before use.
- Apply the care and treatment recommended by the manufacturer for the material.
Restrictions on use
- Do not use if it shows instability, cracks, structural corrosion or loose fixings.
- Do not use as a bed, swing, trampoline or for standing on.
- Do not hang plant pots, umbrellas or other loads from the backrest or armrests.
- Do not place so as to block walkways, doors or evacuation routes.
- Do not place very hot objects, or items with points or sharp edges, directly on the surfaces.
- Do not use pressure washers at close range or solvents that could damage the finishes.
- Keep children and people with reduced mobility under appropriate supervision; watch for gaps where they could become trapped.
- For intensive use or in public spaces, increase the frequency of inspections and use fixing systems only if specified by the manufacturer.
