Warnings and safety precautions
Main risks
- Finger entrapment in hinges and at the closing edge.
- Impacts from sudden closing or from doors slamming due to draughts.
- Dropping or detachment of the door leaf during installation or due to loose fittings.
- Breakage of glass panels or integrated mirrors and possible cuts.
- Tripping over tracks, thresholds or loose parts on sliding doors.
- Jamming and derailments in sliding systems due to dirt or objects in the tracks.
- Accidental lock-ins due to latches or locks without an emergency release.
- Damage from using the door as a support, ladder or to hang heavy loads.
Safe use
- Before installing, check that the model is compatible with the opening and the intended opening mechanism.
- Carry out installation with two people, supporting the door leaf at all times and wearing gloves and closed-toe footwear.
- Keep the work area clear and the door leaf immobilised while adjusting hinges, tracks and stops.
- Use hardware and fixings suitable for the door's weight and the substrate; do not reuse damaged screws or fixings.
- Check the alignment and that it opens and closes without rubbing before regular use.
- On sliding doors, keep fingers away from tracks and cover trims; always use the handles.
- On glazed models, handle the edges with care, avoid impacts and do not remove seals or protective parts.
- Avoid slamming; install or use door stops and soft-closing devices where necessary to protect walls and fingers.
- In bathrooms and children's bedrooms, use latches with an emergency release from the outside and keep keys accessible.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the door indoors, in a dry, ventilated place, on a flat, well-supported surface, without stressing the corners.
- Protect the door from prolonged moisture, splashes and direct exposure to the sun before installation.
- Allow the door to acclimatise to the indoor environment before fitting to minimise warping.
- Clean with a soft cloth lightly dampened and a neutral cleaner; avoid abrasives and excess water.
- Periodically check hinges, screws, stops and tracks; retighten or replace loose or damaged parts.
- Keep tracks and thresholds clean; vacuum up grit or debris that could cause jams.
- Lubricate hinges and tracks sparingly when necessary, avoiding drips that attract dust.
- If the glass shows cracks or chipping, stop using the door until it is repaired or replaced.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use interior doors outdoors or in areas of high humidity unless expressly stated for the product.
- Do not hang heavy objects, exercise bars or accessories that overload the door leaf or the fittings.
- Do not stand on or put your body weight on the door, the frame or the handle.
- Do not make cut-outs, drill holes or carry out modifications not intended by the manufacturer.
- Do not force the door closed if there is rubbing or jamming; identify and correct the cause before continuing to use it.
- Do not allow children to play with the door or slide along the tracks; supervise children and pets.
- Do not use locks that prevent opening from the outside in frequently used rooms such as bathrooms.
- Do not use the door if you observe significant sagging, looseness in the hinges or damaged glass.
