Oven Trays
Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Burns from contact with the tray, hot fat or juices.
- Smoke or flare-up due to fat spills, build-up of residues or baking parchment touching heating elements.
- Breakage or deformation due to sudden temperature changes, with possible shattering and ejection of fragments in glass or ceramic models.
- Cuts from sharp edges or from trays that are warped, cracked or chipped.
- Falls or tipping when removing the tray if it is heavily loaded or slips.
- Damage to worktops or tables when placing a hot tray down without heat-resistant protection.
Safe use
- Follow the manufacturer’s temperature and usage instructions; do not overheat the tray or place it too close to the grill.
- Always use dry oven gloves and hold with both hands; check there are no liquids that could splash.
- Place the tray centred and stable on the oven shelf, without overhanging.
- Do not overfill; leave a clear rim to prevent spills of sauces or grease.
- Use suitable baking parchment or mats where appropriate and avoid them touching heating elements or hot walls.
- When removing from the oven, set the tray down on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Avoid pouring cold liquids onto a hot tray to prevent thermal shock.
Storage and maintenance
- Allow to cool completely before cleaning; do not immerse it hot in cold water.
- Wash with a soft sponge and mild detergent; avoid scouring pads or abrasive products that may scratch the coating.
- Dry thoroughly after washing to prevent corrosion and odours.
- Check periodically for warping, cracks, dents or flaking coatings; if you detect damage, stop using it.
- If stacking several trays, place protectors between them to prevent scratches and warping.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated place, protected from knocks.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use metal trays in the microwave.
- Do not use it over direct flame, on hobs, grills or barbecues unless the product expressly states otherwise.
- Do not cut food directly on the tray or use sharp metal utensils.
- Do not use caustic cleaners, stripping agents or wire wool that could damage the surface.
- Do not use the tray if it shows cracks, dents, warping or a flaking coating.
- Do not subject it to sudden temperature changes (for example, from the freezer to the oven, or immersing it hot in cold water).
- Keep children and pets away during use and until it has cooled completely.
