Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Board falling due to incorrect fixing or selecting unsuitable wall anchors.
- Bumps or cuts from corners, edges or accidental breakage (especially on glass models).
- Pinching from strong magnets and risk of ingestion or choking from small accessories (magnets, marker pen caps, fasteners).
- Respiratory irritation from chalk dust and particles generated when erasing.
- Skin or eye irritation from direct contact with inks or cleaners.
- Tipping of mobile boards if castors are not locked or if pushed unstably.
Safe use
- Install the board following the manufacturer’s instructions and using anchors appropriate to the wall type; check it is securely fastened after installation.
- Handle large or heavy panels with two people and transport the board vertically, without pulling on the tray.
- Place the board away from doors and walkways to avoid bumps and collisions; adjust the height for comfortable writing.
- Use only dry-wipe markers on whiteboards and appropriate chalk on chalkboards; avoid permanent markers.
- Erase with a soft cloth or a dedicated eraser; avoid scouring pads, blades or abrasive cleaners. Test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area.
- Ventilate when erasing large areas or when using cleaning sprays, and wash your hands afterwards.
- Use appropriately sized magnets and with moderation to avoid damaging the surface; do not lean on or hang from the board or the marker tray.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean the surface regularly to prevent persistent marks and dust build-up.
- Keep the board away from excessive humidity, heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight.
- Periodically check screws, anchors, brackets and the tray; tighten or replace loose or damaged parts.
- For mobile boards, lock the brakes during use and check the condition of castors and frames.
- Keep markers and cleaners tightly closed; store chalk in a dry place to reduce dust and prevent breakage.
- Replace erasers and cloths when saturated with ink or dust to improve erasing and hygiene.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use outdoors unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
- Do not use the board as a shelf, step or load-bearing support; do not hang from it or sit on it.
- Do not drill, cut or modify the structure or the surface of the board.
- Do not apply high-tack adhesives or extremely strong magnets that could damage the finish.
- Not suitable for children under 3; where children are present, use under supervision and keep magnets, markers and caps out of their reach.
- Avoid prolonged skin contact with inks and cleaners; if they get into the eyes, rinse with water.
