Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Slips due to water and soap dripping onto the bathroom floor.
- Injury or cuts if the soap dish falls or breaks.
- Coming loose due to poor fixing (adhesive, suction cups or screws), with possible damage to the wall or tiles.
- Build-up of moisture and soap residue that encourages mould and bad odours.
- Deterioration of the finish or staining due to the use of unsuitable or too harsh cleaners.
- Scratches from edges or loose, misaligned parts.
Safe use
- Place or install the soap dish on a firm, level and dry surface, out of direct foot traffic to avoid accidental knocks.
- If fixing with adhesive, suction cups or screws, prepare the surface properly and follow the product’s instructions and curing times before placing any weight.
- Do not exceed the recommended load; use the soap dish only for bars of soap or compatible lightweight items.
- Keep the drainage holes clear and empty any standing water to reduce slips and dirt.
- Wipe up drips on surfaces and floors immediately.
- Periodically check the security of the fixing and the condition of parts; tighten or replace if you notice any looseness or wear.
- If you are going to drill, first check for any pipes and cables in the wall.
- Handle and clean with dry hands to prevent it from slipping.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean regularly using a soft cloth and neutral detergent; rinse and dry to prevent build-up and biofilm.
- Avoid abrasive scourers, bleaches or acidic products that could damage the finish.
- Regularly remove solidified soap residue that may obstruct drainage.
- Keep the soap dish away from sources of direct heat that could deform adhesives or rubber components.
- For freestanding models, place it away from the edge and on a stable, non-slip base.
- If not used for a while, store it dry and protected from impacts and extreme humidity.
- Replace suction cups, adhesives or worn parts when they lose adhesion or show signs of wear.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use it as a handle, step, support or hanger for heavy objects.
- Do not install adhesive systems on wet, rough or dusty surfaces, or on flaking paint.
- Do not use it outdoors or in areas with pressurised water unless the product is designed for it.
- Keep out of reach of small children if it includes detachable parts (e.g., suction cups).
- Do not store corrosive chemicals or heavy glass objects in the soap dish.
- Stop using it if it shows cracks, chips, deformations or damaged fixings.
