Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Carbon monoxide poisoning in the event of poor combustion or an obstructed flue.
- Gas or fuel leaks with a fire risk.
- Burns from hot surfaces or high-temperature water.
- Electric shock or short circuits due to moisture, damaged cables or faulty connections.
- Overpressure in the circuit with possible leaks or damage to radiators and pipes.
- Water damage due to drips, corrosion or faulty valves.
Safe use
- Installation, commissioning and inspections by qualified personnel.
- Keep ventilation grilles clear and do not block the flue.
- Keep the area around the boiler clear and keep flammable materials, aerosols and textiles away.
- Use only the type of fuel and the settings recommended by the manufacturer.
- Prevent scalding: set the water temperature to comfortable levels and open taps with care.
- If you detect the odour of gas or fuel, ventilate, close the shut-off valve and do not light flames or operate switches; seek technical assistance.
- Do not cover the appliance or tamper with valves, burners or safety devices.
- Disconnect the electrical supply before cleaning the exterior; do not use high-pressure water.
- Consider installing carbon monoxide detectors and check their operation periodically.
Storage and maintenance
- Position the boiler in a dry, stable and well-ventilated place, protected from impacts and splashes.
- Keep the surroundings and grilles clean and free of dust, without opening casings or accessing internal components.
- Periodically carry out a visual check of the pressure gauge, pipework and joints to detect leaks or corrosion; if anomalies are found, stop the appliance and request service.
- Avoid obstructions in the flue ducts and in condensate drains; do not alter their routing.
- Carry out preventive maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions by a qualified technician.
- For prolonged shutdowns, switch off the appliance, disconnect the power supply and close the gas or fuel shut-off valve; protect the installation against frost following the manufacturer's instructions.
- If you store fuel (heating oil, pellets), do so in suitable containers, in a cool, ventilated area, away from heat and sparks; keep pellets dry.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use the boiler in spaces without ventilation or with no flue or a blocked flue.
- Do not use it outdoors unless it is specifically designed for that purpose.
- Do not allow children or persons unfamiliar with the appliance to handle it without supervision.
- Do not use fuels other than those intended for the model or additives not recommended.
- Do not block or reduce the combustion air flow or the evacuation of flue gases.
- Do not modify the installation, the ducts, the safety parameters or disable protection devices.
- Do not use the boiler if any casing is missing or it shows severe dents, advanced corrosion, leaks or damaged cables.
- Do not use the appliance as a support, shelf or for drying clothes.
