• Burns from contact with hot surfaces, containers, heating elements and hotplates.
• Scalds from steam when opening lids or trays, and from dripping condensation.
• Splashes of oil or hot liquids during frying, boiling or sautéing.
• Fire risk due to build-up of grease, proximity of textiles or combustible objects, or inadequate ventilation.
• Electric shock from damaged cables, wet plugs, or immersion of the electrical base.
• Tipping of the appliance or the container with hot contents due to unstable placement or when moving it.
• In some models, overpressure and sudden release of steam or liquids if opened prematurely.
• In appliances with integrated moving parts, risk of entrapment or cuts if handled while in operation.

Safe use

• Follow the instructions for your model, especially regarding capacity, fill levels and timings.
• Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge and from curtains or combustible objects.
• Leave clear space around it for ventilation; do not cover vents or steam outlets.
• Connect to a suitable mains socket and keep the cable away from hot areas and water; do not handle it with wet hands.
• Use utensils and containers suitable for high temperatures; protect yourself with oven gloves or pot holders.
• Open lids and valves directing the steam away from your body; if the unit operates under pressure, wait until the pressure has fully released.
• Do not overfill; add food slowly to reduce splashes, and dry thoroughly anything to be fried.
• Do not move or carry the appliance with hot contents; switch off and unplug after each use.
• Always supervise cooking that generates fat, oil or prolonged high temperatures.
• Clean drip trays, grease residues and crumbs before the next use to prevent smoke or flames.

Storage and maintenance

• Unplug and allow to cool completely before cleaning or changing accessories.
• Do not immerse the electrical base; clean the exterior with a lightly dampened cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Wash removable parts as per the manufacturer’s instructions and dry them completely before reassembling or storing.
• Regularly remove grease and carbonised residues to maintain even heating and reduce risks.
• In appliances with a water tank, monitor limescale and descale when necessary.
• Periodically check the cable, plug, seals and lids; if you notice any damage, do not use the appliance.
• Store in a dry, ventilated place, out of the reach of children; do not place weight on cables or lids.
• Keep heating surfaces and steam outlets free of obstructions; avoid abrasive products that could damage them.

Restrictions of use

• For indoor domestic use; do not use outdoors or in damp or unstable areas.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets; minors may only be nearby under an adult’s constant supervision.
• Do not use if it emits a burning smell, smoke, sparks, or if the cable/plug is damaged.
• Do not cover the appliance with cloths or paper, nor place it under low shelves without sufficient space to dissipate heat.
• Avoid extension leads or overloaded multi-socket adaptors; preferably connect to a fixed socket.
• Do not place materials that are not suitable for high temperatures (non-heat-resistant plastics, hermetically sealed containers, or bags not designed for cooking).
• Do not modify the appliance or force lids, valves or latches; use only accessories compatible with your model.
• People with reduced physical, sensory or cognitive capabilities should use it only with appropriate supervision.
