Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Cuts and punctures from knife and fork edges and tips, especially during washing and drying.
- Injuries when handling dishwasher baskets if the tips are facing upwards.
- Burns from heat conduction if cutlery is left in very hot dishes or food.
- Cross-contamination and insufficient hygiene that may affect food safety.
- Staining and corrosion from prolonged exposure to moisture, salt or acids, which may create sharp burrs.
- Choking hazard from loose small parts or packaging components in the presence of children.
- Possible skin reactions in individuals sensitive to nickel or other metals.
Safe use
- Wash the cutlery before first use and after each use.
- Use only for eating or handling food; do not use as a lever, screwdriver, or to open tins or packages.
- When cutting, hold by the handle and keep the blade or edges facing away from your body and other people.
- Do not leave cutlery submerged in soapy water: they may not be visible and can cause cuts when you reach in.
- In the dishwasher, place tips and blades facing down where possible and separate items to avoid rubbing.
- Avoid abrasive products, metal scouring pads and bleach/chlorine-based cleaners that damage the surface.
- Do not place metal cutlery in the microwave or near direct heat sources.
- Remove cutlery from hot containers with gloves or heat-resistant protective utensils.
- If you have sensitivity to nickel or other metals, limit prolonged skin contact and check the product specifications.
Storage and maintenance
- Dry immediately after washing to reduce staining and corrosion, especially after contact with salt, vinegar, lemon or mustard.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated place; avoid persistent dampness.
- Store so that the tips are not exposed to prevent accidental cuts.
- Avoid piling them up without protection to reduce scratching and deformation of tips or edges.
- If the items have non-metal handles, avoid prolonged soaking and high-temperature cycles.
- Periodically check for bent, loose or burred pieces; remove from use any that show damage.
Restrictions of use
- Keep out of the reach of children; use by children only under adult supervision.
- Do not use cutlery that is damaged, corroded, chipped or with burrs.
- Not suitable for play or for activities other than food use.
- Always follow the product instructions regarding dishwasher suitability and maximum temperature.
- People with reduced mobility or vision should use them with particular care and, where appropriate, with assistance or supervision.
- Remove packaging and small components from children's reach after unpacking.
