Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Toppling or detachment if not properly secured to the wall or the bed frame.
  • Entrapment in gaps between the headboard, mattress or wall, especially for children.
  • Impacts with hard edges or corners; cuts or splinters from damaged surfaces or protruding fittings.
  • Injuries when handling due to weight and bulk during transport or assembly (trapped fingers and falls).
  • Damage to concealed cables or pipes when drilling, and insecure attachment caused by unsuitable fixings.
  • Risk of overheating or fire if placed next to heat sources or if integrated lighting is installed incorrectly.
  • Detachment of decorative parts or screws that could become small parts accessible to children.

Safe use

  • Assemble following the manufacturer's instructions and use fixings suitable for the wall material or the intended structure.
  • Check there are no cables or pipes before drilling; mark height and level to ensure a secure fixing.
  • Carry out installation with two people, keeping the area clear and protecting hands and surfaces.
  • Adjust the position so there are no wide gaps between the headboard and the mattress; use buffers or spacers if necessary.
  • Check firmness after assembly and retighten screws and joints after the first hours or days of use.
  • Do not climb, sit or hang from the headboard; avoid point loads or impacts.
  • If the model includes lighting or other accessories, follow their specific instructions and avoid routing cables through pinch points.
  • Position the bed so that when sitting up you do not hit edges or hard elements of the headboard.

Storage and maintenance

  • Install and maintain in dry, ventilated indoor areas, away from damp and sources of direct heat.
  • Clean with a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp; avoid abrasive products and soaking fabrics or wood.
  • For upholstered models, gently vacuum and dry any spills immediately.
  • Periodically inspect screws, fixings and joints; tighten or replace loose or damaged components.
  • Check edges, finishes and upholstery; stop using if there are splinters, breaks or loose fittings until repaired.
  • To move it, do so with two people and without dragging; protect corners and the wall during the move.
  • Place felt pads or buffers between the headboard and wall to reduce vibrations, noise and marks.

Restrictions of use

  • Intended for domestic indoor use; not suitable for outdoor use unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
  • Do not hang televisions, shelves or heavy objects from the headboard unless the design allows for it and it includes specific fittings.
  • Do not modify, drill additional holes in or cut the headboard; this may compromise its strength and stability.
  • Do not use if it shows instability, cracks, loose screws or damaged fixings.
  • Keep small parts and tools out of the reach of children during assembly; supervise children to prevent climbing or entrapment.
  • Do not place next to heaters, radiators, open flames or overloaded sockets; if there is accessory wiring, keep it tidy and free from strain.
