Usage Warnings
Hair Dryer Holders
Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Detachment of the holder due to improper fixing, incompatible surface or wear, with possible dropping of the hair dryer.
- Burns from contact with the hair dryer’s hot nozzle or with the holder if it retains heat.
- Overheating of the hair dryer if its air vents are blocked inside the holder.
- Damage to walls, furniture or textiles from exposure to the hair dryer’s heat or contact with flammable materials.
- Indirect electrical hazard if the hair dryer falls into water or is used too close to splash-prone areas.
- Trips or snags with the cable if it is taut or hanging.
- Knocks when opening doors or drawers if the holder is poorly positioned.
Safe use
- Place the holder on a solid, dry wall and out of direct splashes; avoid positioning it directly above a basin, bath or shower.
- Check that the size and weight of the hair dryer are suitable for the holder and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Install the holder using the intended method (adhesive, screws, suction cup) and wait the indicated setting time before placing the hair dryer.
- If you need to drill, first check there are no hidden cables or pipes and use fixings appropriate to the wall type.
- Place the hair dryer switched off and, preferably, only warm; avoid the hot nozzle touching towels or other materials.
- Do not use the holder with the hair dryer running unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer, and keep its air inlets and outlets clear.
- Keep the cable untensioned and unpinched, and tidy so it does not hang down or snag.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean the holder with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive or corrosive products that could damage the finish.
- Dry the holder if it gets wet and ventilate the bathroom to reduce condensation, which accelerates the deterioration of adhesives and metals.
- Regularly check screws, adhesives, suction cups and joints; retighten or replace parts if you notice play, rust or deformation.
- Replace adhesive strips or suction cups when they lose adhesion or after a change of location.
- Do not overload the holder with additional accessories; use it only for the hair dryer and, where applicable, its compatible nozzles.
- Allow the hair dryer to cool before storing it to avoid heat build-up and deterioration of the finish.
- Keep the area around the holder clear so that towels, papers or aerosols are not left near residual heat.
Restrictions on use
- Do not use as a handle, step, towel hook or for other objects, nor for weights greater than those specified by the manufacturer.
- Do not install on surfaces that are unstable, have flaking paint or wallpaper, or have permanent damp or grease that prevents adhesion.
- Do not use with very heavy hair dryers or with shapes that are incompatible with the holder’s geometry.
- Do not leave the hair dryer unattended when it is hot or connected to the mains.
- Do not allow children to play with the holder or hang from it; keep the hair dryer out of their reach.
- Do not position the holder next to radiators, heaters or near flames.
- If the holder is loose, cracked or rusted, do not use it until it is repaired or replaced.
