Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Slips on wet floors due to splashes, leaks or overflows.
  • Cuts or injuries from contact with edges or broken ceramic parts.
  • Injuries from detachment if the urinal is poorly anchored or mishandled.
  • Odours and backflow of gases if the trap or sealing system fails (in waterless models).
  • Skin and eye irritation or harmful fumes due to incorrect use or mixing of cleaning products.
  • Blockages that may cause overflows and water damage.
  • Electrical hazard if the model includes a powered sensor or valve and moisture enters electrical components.
  • Deterioration or cracking due to thermal shock when pouring very hot liquids.

Safe use

  • Carry out installation with appropriate fixings and connections, following the manufacturer’s instructions; if you are not experienced, use qualified personnel.
  • Check the drainage for leaks and correct operation before commissioning and after any intervention.
  • Do not hang from, sit on or place body weight on it; avoid impacts with hard objects.
  • Keep the floor dry: remove spills immediately and, in traffic areas, signpost wet surfaces.
  • Do not dispose of chewing gum, wipes, cigarette butts, thick paper or objects; use bins for waste.
  • Use cleaners compatible with sanitary surfaces; do not mix bleach with ammonia or with acids/descalers.
  • During cleaning, wear gloves and, if there is a risk of splashes, eye protection; ensure bathroom ventilation.
  • If it includes a sensor or electrical supply, disconnect the power before cleaning or handling and protect the components from moisture.
  • In waterless models, maintain the sealing system or cartridge as per the manufacturer’s instructions to prevent bad odours and gas backflow.

Storage and maintenance

  • Before installation, store the product in its packaging, in a dry, stable place protected from impacts; do not stack it in an unstable manner.
  • Transport and handle with care: the ceramic may chip or break.
  • Periodically check fixings, seals, diffusers and trap/seal; replace worn, loose or corroded parts.
  • Remove limescale from valves and diffusers with compatible products; rinse and dry to avoid slippery residues.
  • Address drips and leaks immediately; if necessary, shut off the water supply until it has been repaired.
  • Unblock using appropriate tools; avoid extremely corrosive products that could damage the enamel or the installation.
  • Keep the area beneath clear and clean to prevent water accumulation and facilitate hygiene.

Restrictions of use

  • For sanitary use exclusively for urination; do not pour oils, paints, solvents, greases or very hot liquids.
  • Do not use as a seat, step or support point.
  • Do not use if it shows cracks, loose fixings or loose parts; remove from service until repaired.
  • Young children must use it under adult supervision and at an appropriate height.
  • Do not tamper with or modify flush valves, sensors or cartridges; use only compatible spare parts.
  • Avoid installing on partitions or surfaces that cannot bear the load without adequate reinforcement.
