Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Electric shock when handling connections or installing while the power is live.
  • Overheating or risk of fire due to faulty connections, covering the panel, or blocking its ventilation.
  • Panel falling due to inadequate fixings, with risk of injury and property damage.
  • Cuts or impacts when handling metal profiles, and breakage of the diffuser.
  • Glare, eye strain, or discomfort from flicker if using an incompatible dimmer or if it is oriented incorrectly.
  • Short circuits and corrosion if installed in damp areas with a model not suitable for that environment.
  • Deterioration of cables crushed or pinched between the panel, the ceiling, or the wall.

Safe use

  • Switch off the circuit at the mains before installing, removing, or handling the panel.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions and use fixings and plugs suitable for the ceiling or wall material; verify that the surface can support the weight.
  • Support the panel while making connections, and use a stable ladder and gloves to prevent falls and cuts.
  • Do not cover the panel or its heat-dissipation area; leave space around it and avoid installing it near heat sources.
  • Check compatibility with the mains supply and with accessories such as dimmers, sensors, or power supplies; use only recommended accessories.
  • In humid areas, use only models specified for that environment and protect the connections as instructed.
  • Avoid pinching cables with the ceiling or panel structure; keep conductors tidy and free of strain.
  • If you are not electrically trained, consult a qualified installer.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the panels in their original packaging, in a dry, well-ventilated place, protected from impacts and without stacking weight on top.
  • Disconnect the power before cleaning; use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not apply abrasive products or liquids directly to the panel.
  • Clean the diffuser gently to maintain brightness and avoid scratches.
  • Periodically check fixings and cables; re-tighten loose screws without over-tightening and replace damaged parts.
  • Keep ventilation areas and the surroundings of the panel free of dust to aid heat dissipation.
  • If you detect unusual flicker, a burning smell, clicking or crackling noises, or abnormal heating, disconnect immediately and do not use it until it has been inspected or replaced.
  • Do not open or modify the panel or its power supply; internal interventions can damage the product and increase the risk.

Usage restrictions

  • Do not install outdoors or in bathrooms or high-humidity areas unless explicitly specified for the model.
  • Do not cover with insulating or decorative materials nor recess it into unventilated cavities if the product is not designed for it.
  • Do not connect to incompatible dimmers, transformers, or sensors.
  • Do not hang objects from the panel or use it as a suspension point.
  • Do not use near easily flammable materials without the safety clearance recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not stare at close range when operating at high intensity, especially for children or people sensitive to light.
  • Do not use the panel if the diffuser is broken, the wiring is damaged, or the housing is deformed.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets during installation and maintenance tasks.
