Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Burns from water that is too hot or sudden temperature changes.
- Slips and falls due to wet surfaces and the hose on the floor.
- Leaks or disconnections that can cause flooding and water damage.
- Rupture of the hose or connections due to excessive pressure, kinking or wear.
- Minor knocks or cuts from the handset being dropped or from damaged edges.
- Limescale and dirt build-up that reduces flow and causes an irregular spray.
Safe use
- Check the temperature with your hand before directing the spray onto your body; start with cold water and increase gradually.
- Hold the handset firmly and point the spray away from your face when turning on the tap.
- Keep the hose free of kinks and use the holder to hang the handset when not in use.
- After installing or replacing the handset, check that the connections are secure without overtightening, and make sure there are no leaks.
- Open and close the flow gradually to avoid water hammer and disconnections.
- Do not block the outlet nozzles with your fingers or cover the shower head completely.
- Avoid directing the spray towards sockets, light fittings or electrical appliances in the bathroom.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean the nozzles regularly to remove limescale using mild, non-abrasive products, and rinse thoroughly afterwards.
- Allow the handset to drain and, if possible, dry it after use to reduce limescale and mould.
- Inspect the hose and connections; if you notice cracks, bulges or drips, replace the affected parts.
- Avoid leaving the hose under tension, twisted or trapped, as this accelerates wear.
- Do not use metal scouring pads or very aggressive cleaners (e.g. with concentrated chlorine) that can damage finishes and seals.
- If the bathroom is going to remain unused for a prolonged period or in cold conditions, shut off the water supply and protect against frost.
- Ensure the handset holder is secure; retighten or replace fixings if they become loose.
- After long periods without use, run the water for a few seconds before directing it onto your body.
Restrictions of use
- Domestic use with mains water; not suitable for extreme pressures or industrial use.
- Not a toy: keep the handset out of reach of unsupervised children and take extra care with babies, older people or those with reduced mobility.
- Do not use the handset if the hose, head or connections are damaged, deformed or leaking.
- Do not modify the product or attempt to repair it with unsuitable adhesives or tapes; replace defective components.
- Do not use it to spray chemicals or liquids other than water.
- Do not lean on, hang weight from, or use the handset or its holder as a grab handle.
- Avoid excessive water temperatures; adjust the mixer for comfortable, safe use.
