Warnings and safety precautions
Main risks
- Suffocation or overheating in babies and young children if they become completely covered by the duvet and the cover.
- Entanglement with inner ties or cords, and snagging or entrapment from excess fabric.
- Choking on buttons, press studs or embellishments that may come loose.
- Pinching or scratches from zips, and snagging on jewellery or pointed items.
- Fire or burns from contact with flames, candles or heat sources.
- Skin irritation or allergic reactions caused by fibres, dyes or detergent residues.
- Mould, bad odours and dust mite proliferation due to moisture or insufficient drying.
- Tripping caused by covers that are too long and drag on the floor.
- Risk of suffocation from plastic packaging bags.
Safe use
- Choose the correct size for the duvet to avoid excess fabric hanging down.
- Wash before first use following the care label; if the colour is strong or dark, carry out the first few washes separately.
- Secure the inner ties and keep them inside the cover; keep zips and buttons closed during use.
- Keep the bed away from candles, heaters and other sources of heat or sparks.
- When putting on or removing the cover, do it on a clear surface, take your time and avoid sudden movements.
- Check seams, fastenings and embellishments regularly; if they are loose or damaged, repair them or stop using the cover.
- If you have sensitive skin, pre-wash and use a mild detergent with a thorough rinse to reduce residues.
- Keep pets away to prevent tearing and ingestion of small parts.
Storage and maintenance
- Dry the cover completely before storing it to prevent mould and bad odours.
- Store it in a dry, well-ventilated place, preferably in a breathable textile bag; avoid airtight plastic if there is moisture.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to reduce the risk of fading and weakening of the fabric.
- Treat stains as soon as possible and always follow the manufacturer's instructions for washing and drying.
- Air the bedding regularly to reduce dust and dust mites.
- Trim loose threads with scissors; do not pull them so as not to make the tear worse.
- Replace damaged buttons or embellishments to prevent detachment.
- Keep packaging bags out of the reach of children and pets.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use in cots or with babies or children who cannot uncover themselves; for them, it is preferable to use specially designed sleeping bags.
- Do not cover radiators, heaters, hot lamps or ventilation grilles with the cover or the duvet.
- Do not use if the cover is damp, mouldy, torn or has damaged fastenings.
- Do not place or use near open flames, lit cigarettes or appliances that generate intense heat.
- Do not allow hide-and-seek under the duvet without adult supervision.
- Do not use the cover as a rope, load-bearing support or play item.
- Supervise its use with young children, people with reduced mobility or those who have difficulty moving freely during sleep.
