Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Injuries from contact with moving parts of the cone or filter during operation.
- Electrical hazard due to splashes, wet hands, a wet base or a damaged lead/plug.
- Motor overheating due to prolonged continuous use or pulp blockages.
- Accidental cuts from the edges of the strainer or metal parts when handling or cleaning.
- Juice spills that can cause slips or falls.
- Breakage of glass jugs or glasses with a possible risk of cuts.
- Juice splashing into eyes and irritation from citric acid.
- Appliance tipping over if placed on unstable surfaces or near the edge.
Safe use
- Place the juicer on a flat, dry and stable surface, away from the edge.
- Assemble all parts correctly (container, filter, cone and lid if applicable) before switching on.
- Insert only halved citrus fruits; do not insert fingers or utensils while the cone is spinning and avoid excessive pressure.
- Keep hands, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts.
- Connect to a suitable mains socket and keep the lead away from water and hot surfaces.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands and never immerse the motor base in water.
- Switch off and unplug before removing pulp, changing attachments or cleaning.
- Take breaks if you notice heating, an unusual odour or unusual noises; allow to cool before continuing.
- Direct the spout towards the container and use the splash guard if supplied to prevent spills.
- Do not leave the juicer running unattended.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean after each use to prevent build-up of pulp, mould and bad odours.
- Unplug and allow to cool before cleaning. Clean the base with a slightly damp cloth; do not immerse it.
- Wash the removable parts as indicated by the manufacturer; only in the dishwasher if permitted.
- Dry all parts completely before reassembling or storing.
- Regularly check the lead, plug and plastic parts/strainer; do not use the product if they are damaged, cracked or deformed.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from moisture, dust and heat sources.
- Coil the lead without stretching or pinching it; use the cable tidy if provided.
- Keep accessories and small parts out of the reach of children.
Restrictions of use
- Indoor domestic use; not suitable for continuous professional use.
- Do not process ice, fruits with hard stones, thick peels or hot foods.
- Do not use the juicer if any part is missing, if the appliance has been dropped or if the lead/plug is damaged.
- Do not modify the product or force the latches or safety mechanisms.
- Do not operate near sinks filled with water or outdoors.
- Do not allow children to use it; people requiring assistance should use it under supervision.
- Do not transport the appliance by pulling the lead or the spout.
- Do not block the juice outlet or cover any air vents.
- Do not use cracked glass containers to collect the juice.
