Warnings and safety precautions
Main risks
- Reduced airflow and heat build-up if clearances are insufficient, with possible deterioration of the unit, wall or radiator.
- Risk of burns when touching hot surfaces or when reaching the radiator through slots.
- Fire from contact with or proximity to textiles, papers, candles or other flammable materials placed on or around it.
- Tipping or movement if not correctly anchored; objects falling from the top.
- Finger entrapment in lids or doors and small objects in slots or behind the unit.
- Interference with valves or thermostats that may cause local overheating or poor system performance.
- Moisture damage that weakens the structure and may create sharp edges or loose parts.
Safe use
- Ensure ventilation: leave inlets at the bottom and outlets at the top; do not block grilles or cover openings.
- Keep valves and bleed valves accessible; check that the radiator cover is compatible with the size and type of your radiator.
- Secure the unit firmly to the appropriate wall type and check that it does not wobble.
- Do not place drying clothes, coiled cables, extension leads, candles or diffusers on the top.
- Maintain a prudent clearance from curtains, sofas and other heat-sensitive textiles or objects.
- Do not place weight on it or use it as a seat, step or a shelf for heavy items.
- Avoid touching or moving the radiator cover when the system is hot; wait for it to cool before cleaning or handling it.
- On models with a lid or doors, close them gently and avoid pinching.
Storage and maintenance
- Before assembly, store in a dry, ventilated and level place, away from sources of heat and moisture.
- Dust grilles and surfaces with a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp; avoid abrasives and excessive water.
- Periodically check screws, brackets and fixings; retighten if you detect any play.
- Watch for signs of overheating (discolouration, strong odour, warping) and improve ventilation or remove items from the top if they appear.
- Carefully remove objects that fall behind without forcing the slots; keep the interior clear.
- If disassembled, protect edges and fittings in a bag and avoid stacking weight on top during storage.
Restrictions of use
- For use in dry indoor areas; avoid bathrooms or high-humidity zones unless specifically rated.
- Not intended to cover stoves, fireplaces or other appliances with an open flame or exposed radiant elements.
- Do not modify or cover the ventilation openings or make additional cut-outs.
- Do not use the unit if parts are missing, or if it shows cracks, deformation or instability.
- Installation and handling by adults; supervise children and pets to prevent climbing or insertion of objects.
- Do not place aquariums, plant pots with water or heavy or unstable objects on the top.
