Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Falls and tip-overs when turning sharply, mounting kerbs, or riding on slopes, potholes or uneven surfaces.
- Collisions with people, pets, fixed objects or vehicles if used near driveways or roads with traffic.
- Fingers, clothing or laces becoming trapped in wheels, axles, the chain/belt or the kickstand.
- Loose or broken parts that may create sharp edges or cause sudden failures while in motion.
- Wet surfaces, sand or gravel that reduce grip and increase braking distance.
- For electric models: overheating of the battery or charger, short circuits, and a risk of minor burns if mishandled.
- Choking hazard from small assembly parts or detachable accessories in very young children.
- Prolonged sun exposure that can excessively heat surfaces and cause contact burns.
Safe use
- Assembly and initial adjustment carried out by an adult following the product instructions; check that screws and fasteners are secure.
- Always wear a helmet and protective gear (knee and elbow pads) of the correct size; closed-toe footwear and clothing without loose laces or drawstrings.
- Choose wide, flat, dry and clear areas, away from stairs, kerbs, swimming pools, ponds and driveways.
- Maintain constant adult supervision, especially when beginning to learn and with younger children.
- Before each use, verify that the wheels, steering and, if fitted, the braking system operate smoothly.
- Teach starting, braking and turning progressively; avoid abrupt manoeuvres and racing with other children.
- Do not carry passengers or loads unless the model explicitly specifies this function.
- Avoid rain, puddles and dirt that could enter moving or electrical parts; do not submerge or pressure-wash.
- For electric models: use only the supplied charger; charge on a stable, well-ventilated surface; do not cover the charger and do not leave charging unattended for extended periods.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly after each use; avoid abrasive products or solvents.
- Periodically check the tightness of screws, axles and handlebar; replace worn or damaged parts before using again.
- Check the condition of the wheels and tyres; remove trapped stones or objects.
- After impacts or falls, inspect the frame and fork for cracks or deformations.
- Store in a dry, ventilated place, protected from the elements, moisture, frost and direct heat.
- If the model is electric and will remain unused for a prolonged period, follow the manufacturer's guidance for the battery; if it swells, smells unusual or overheats, stop using it and replace it safely.
- Keep the charger and battery out of the reach of children when not in use.
Restrictions on use
- Follow the age, height and weight recommendations of the manufacturer; do not exceed the maximum permitted weight.
- For use only in private areas or play areas; not suitable for riding on roads, pavements with heavy pedestrian traffic or public roads.
- Do not use at night or in poor visibility; avoid steep slopes, icy or very slippery surfaces.
- Do not perform stunts, jumps, high-speed pushing, or tow or be towed.
- Do not modify the electrical system, the battery, speed limiters or the structure of the vehicle.
- Do not allow use without adult supervision by children who do not yet control steering and braking.
