Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Tip-over of tall or narrow furniture if not properly levelled or fixed to the wall.
- Falling shelves, cabinets or poorly anchored fittings, with possible impact from stored items.
- Cuts from broken glass or mirror components and from inadequately protected edges.
- Finger trapping in doors and drawers that close abruptly.
- Moisture damage (swelling, corrosion) that may compromise stability.
- Failure of adhesives or suction cups in humid environments, causing unexpected detachments.
- Slips or trips if the unit encroaches on walkways or water accumulates at its base.
Safe use
- Assemble and anchor it following the manufacturer’s instructions, using fixings suitable for the wall type.
- Secure tall/narrow furniture to the wall and check it does not wobble; level the feet if fitted.
- Observe the stated maximum load and distribute weight: heavy items on lower shelves and close to the sides.
- Avoid placing the unit in areas of direct water (inside a shower/bath or under a continuous spray) and wipe up splashes.
- Open and close doors/drawers gently; keep hands clear of hinges and runners to prevent pinching.
- If the product is fixed with adhesive or suction cups, clean and dry the surface thoroughly, perform a progressive load test and check the hold regularly.
- Fit non-slip pads to the feet if the floor is slippery and keep the passage clear.
- Keep a distance from heat sources (radiators, electric towel rails) to avoid warping or risks with stored aerosols.
- Store electrical appliances only when unplugged and cool; avoid cables being pinched in doors.
Storage and maintenance
- Ventilate the bathroom to reduce humidity and clean regularly with a soft cloth; avoid scouring pads or abrasive products.
- Immediately dry any water that accumulates on tops, shelves and the base of the unit to prevent swelling or corrosion.
- Periodically check screws, hinges, handles and wall fixings; re-tighten or replace loose or damaged parts.
- Check the condition of seals and cable grommet caps, if present, to prevent unwanted water ingress.
- Remove and safely dispose of any damaged glass/mirror component; do not use the unit until it has been replaced.
- Store cleaning products and liquid cosmetics in closed containers to prevent spills inside.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use as a ladder, step stool, seat or support for climbing or hanging.
- Do not exceed the maximum load or hang heavy items on accessories fixed only with adhesive or suction cups.
- Do not install on walls with inadequate support without suitable fixing systems; if in doubt about the wall’s strength, arrange for competent installation.
- Do not place the unit outdoors or in areas with continuous exposure to water.
- Do not allow children to climb on or play with the furniture; keep hazardous products (medicines, chemicals) in high or lockable compartments.
- Do not modify the product (drilling, cut-outs) in ways that could affect its stability or fixing.
