Warnings and safety precautions

Main risks

  • Tipping from overloading or distributing the weight high up or on one side.
  • Unintended movement if the castors are not locked, especially on slopes or uneven floors.
  • Finger entrapment in folding mechanisms, pull-out shelves or drawers.
  • Cuts or breakages if there are sharp edges, glass surfaces or damaged parts.
  • Burns and spillages when transporting pots, pans or other hot containers.
  • Slips due to liquids spilled during transport.
  • Instability due to worn or loose castors, or faulty brakes.
  • Damage to walls, doors or furniture from impacts while manoeuvring with a load.

Safe use

  • Assemble the trolley following the manufacturer’s instructions and ensure screws and joints are secure.
  • Before loading, check that the castors and brakes work, and lock them when the trolley is parked.
  • Observe the stated maximum load and distribute the weight low and centred; avoid stacking high or with overhang.
  • Push the trolley holding the handle with both hands; proceed slowly and make wide turns to prevent tipping.
  • Keep drawers, doors and movable shelves closed during movement.
  • Do not transport containers at boiling point, very hot oils or open flames; use trivets to set down hot items.
  • Secure bottles and jars to stop them rolling; use trays or containers for small utensils.
  • Keep fingers away from hinges and folding mechanisms when opening or closing.
  • Avoid high thresholds, steep slopes and slippery floors when carrying weight.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the trolley indoors, in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sources of heat and moisture.
  • Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry afterwards; avoid abrasive products or those containing strong solvents.
  • Protect surfaces with trivets, coasters or table mats to prevent stains, burns or cuts.
  • Periodically check screws, joints, hinges, castors and brakes; tighten or adjust if you detect looseness.
  • Replace damaged castors, brakes, shelves or glass immediately; do not use the trolley if it is unstable.
  • If specified by the manufacturer, lightly lubricate axles or moving mechanisms for smooth operation.
  • When parked, leave the brakes on and avoid leaving heavy loads on upper shelves for long periods.

Usage restrictions

  • Do not use the trolley as a step, seat, scaffold or support to climb on.
  • Do not transport people, children or pets on the trolley.
  • Do not exceed the total maximum load or the per-shelf limit stated by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use it on stairs or leave it parked on slopes.
  • Do not use the trolley outdoors unless it is specifically designed for outdoor use.
  • Keep children away and supervised when the trolley is in use; do not allow them to hang from it or climb on it.
  • Avoid using it near open flames or lit hobs that could overheat the unit or its contents.
