Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Cuts due to accidental glass breakage caused by blows, edge impacts or sudden temperature changes.
- Finger trapping in guides, hinges or between sliding panels.
- Slips and falls due to water leaks or wet floors around the shower.
- Impacts with edges, profiles or doors when opening and closing.
- Injuries during handling or installation due to the weight and size of the panels.
- Deterioration of seals and profiles that may cause leaks, corrosion or mould.
- Skin or respiratory irritation from the use of harsh cleaning products.
Safe use
- Open and close gently using the handles; do not push on the glass edges or force the panels.
- Ensure the door is properly closed before showering to prevent splashes and leaks.
- Keep the shower tray and floor dry and, if possible, with non-slip surfaces; wipe up any spilt water immediately.
- Avoid impacts from metal handheld showers, bottles or other hard objects on the glass and profiles.
- Do not hang towels or place loads on the glass, doors or profiles.
- Minimise thermal shock: avoid directing very hot water onto cold glass or very cold water onto hot glass.
- Keep guides, tracks and seals free of limescale and dirt for smooth and safe sliding.
- When moving sliding panels, keep hands away from the closing areas and from the tracks.
- If you detect cracks, chipping, looseness or abnormal operation, stop using the enclosure until the affected parts have been inspected or replaced.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation and, if you lack experience, consider the help of qualified personnel.
Storage and maintenance
- Before installation, keep the panels vertical on a stable surface with the edges protected; do not stack them flat.
- Store in a dry, ventilated place, away from impacts and sources of extreme heat or frost.
- Clean with water and neutral soap and a soft cloth; rinse and dry to reduce limescale build-up.
- Avoid abrasive pads, blades and acidic, chlorinated or ammonia-based products that could damage the glass, coatings or profiles.
- Periodically check screws, fixings, seals and gaskets; re-tighten gently when necessary and replace any deteriorated components.
- Keep the tracks and rollers free of grit; lightly lubricate moving parts only with compatible products recommended by the manufacturer.
- Ventilate the bathroom after each use to reduce humidity and mould; dry the seals and profiles when possible.
- Protect the glass edges during any transport and use suitable gloves for handling.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use the enclosure as a support, handrail, seat or step; do not climb on it or hang from it.
- Do not modify the structure by drilling, cutting or removing components; use only compatible spare parts specified by the manufacturer.
- Not suitable for outdoor use, saunas or steam rooms unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
- Do not direct pressure washers or steam cleaners at seals, rollers or profiles unless expressly indicated.
- Keep children under supervision when opening or closing the doors; people with reduced mobility may require specific aids.
- Do not use the enclosure if the glass or profiles show visible damage; mark the hazard and avoid use until repaired or replaced.
